The story follows Harry Mason, who wakes up after a car accident to find that his daughter Cheryl is missing. Harry will wander the snowy streets of Silent Hill searching for answers of her disappearance, but when the world freezes over, he will need to escape the lumbering demons that haunt his steps. Harry will need to navigate both worlds to discover the truth; not just about his missing daughter, but also the type of person he actually is.

Silent Hill's debut on the Nintendo Wii makes the fear more real than ever before. Players will be drawn into the mysterious town using the Wii Remote as a flashlight and a cellphone as they search for clues. Choices they make will shape Harry Mason, as well as the people he meets and the places he visits. The enemies evolve as well, taking the form of the player's deepest fears. Silent Hill promises to be more terrifying than ever, bringing the fear to Wii, PS2, and PSP.

I started a thread about this over at the Nintendo boards before we knew there was also going to be a PS2 and PSP version. No one posted rarely except me, one guy who had magazine scans and a guy who thought it was stupid.

I requested it be moved to this board, but no one ever complied. I don't think anyone ever goes in that board :/

I really like the idea of this. The first game got me hooked and it was the only SH game I played. They say its not a remake but its close enough to one. Its been a while since I bought a PS2 game, but I will definetly check this out

I'm an invested fan in Silent Hill. I have 2 and Origins, which are both awesome games. Looking forward to playing this... probably on PSP.

I'll probably pick it up later on, good to hear that the new direction worked out well. Still don't particularly see why they decided to do a 'reimagining' of the game instead of just making a new story in Silent Hill, but either way I hope this benefits the franchise

The last time i played a remake of a classic survival horror title, it ended up being one of the best games iv ever played (remake of Resident Evil). Id deff like to play this at some point.

Yeah, same here. The remake of Resident Evil is probably my favorite horror game out there. The only Silent Hill game I've ever played is Silent Hill 2, which is also one of my favorite horror games, so I would love to play this one at some point.
