Silver Age discussion board

Hey all. Ive started a new discussion board for the strict purpose of talking about the earlier versions of Batman. Silver/Golden age comics, the Adam West series, vintage collectables, and the new BTB series. Its a place where fans can go and not have to deal with the non fan base. This isnt meant to be a rival board, its just a specialty forum. Ive had great success with the Burton discussion board that was started on Batmanmovieonline, and now I feel its time to move on to another endeavor. One that has always been a source of fun, excitement and joy as a Batfan.

I invite anyone who is a fan of this era or is just curious about learning about the past of our beloved hero.

what is the Silver Age for you?

early 50s till late 60s?

Yes. Golden being '39 till then. Bronze being until 80. From 1980 on I consider modern comics.

Isnt the "ages" described in Overstreet? I mean, isnt the "golden age" 40 - 54, "silver age" 55 - 68, and "bronze age" 69 - 79? I thought this was a common knowledge for comic book collectors, so why would you have a different set of dates or standards for these periods? I mean, I dont think you do judging from your response, Im wondering why you would even be asked?

I also dont understand what you mean by moving onto other endeavers? Are you done with the keaton batman for good or something? I always thought you were the big Burton guy, now youre going back to the 60's show? Im just a bit confused.

Anyway, it definitely pops out at you. You seem to have captured the "feel" of the period on your forum. Maybe Ill keep an eye on it.
