Since we have Ray, and Walk the Line...

I'd like to see movies about the lives of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Jackie Wilson, BB King, Freddy Mercury, Marvin Gaye, Dennis Edwards (just Edwards, before, during and after his tenure with the Temptations), and Wilson Pickett.

when was that? i dont remember it in theaters

Freddy Mercury's biopic.

WHo ever is going to pull this off , needs to be an actor with an serious dramatic range cause they'll definately need to cover his AIDS and gay history.

And actually let that actor do all his singing , much like how Joaquin Phoenix did the songs of Cash.

yeah and also
Led Zeppelin, The Sex Pistols, Lynard Skynerd ect.

I still say Ozzy would make a great movie.

i want to see a sex pistols movie real bad. not another sid and nancy (which i love) but a fact based movie about the rise of the group would be great. it would be so much more exciting than a lot of other recent biopics. how many others could feature the front man pissing into the mouth of a transexual?

john lennon/mark david chapman....though, wait till after chapman dies.

Why? Chapman should be forced to watch it. Bastard. Speaking of Lennon, has anybody seen the trailer for The U.S. vs. John Lennon? Looks interesting. It's a documentary about how the CIA kept tabs on Lennon and nearly deported him.

Unfortunately I don't think anybody could do Freddie's singing justice.

I'm eagerly awaiting that, it looks excellent.

I think it's unwise to make a Chapman movie while he's alive, since it sort of gives him what he wanted. More fame.

Yeah, you're right.

A faithful adaptation of The Temptations from w/o the Otis Williams bias.

The James Dean thing? I think TNT did it. Hence why you see it's nominated for Emmies and not Oscars.

i want a film about the Electric Warrior himself, Marc Bolan, with T. Rex

the man looks so much like Bolan it's scary

Whoa, I never thought of that, and I'm pissed you brought it up, 'cause now I need it to happen, but it's not going to.

heh, i originally had him before i took him out and replaced him with roky Erickson in my list.
I figured the Jack Fairy figure sort of coverd him in 'Velvet Goldmine'.

heh, yea. You can see the Bolan-influence in Jack Fairy, which was cool. I also liked the scene where Brian Slade kisses him and takes that broach thing and gets famous with the style Fairy had, much like how David Bowie got bigger than Bolan with Ziggy Stardust, and how Young Americans, in terms of weird soul albums, did much better than Bolan's Zinc Alloy album. Basically, how much bigger Bowie got than Bolan, by doing what Bolan was doing.

speaking of which, they should make a biopic about David Bowie.

Zeppelin. Great music and an interesting story. I think that it would be a very good biopic if they made it.

Jay Leno said "Mick Jagger is in his SIXTIES! But do you know what his secret is, for looking so good?......"Always stand next to Keith Richards.""

gna-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A Black Flag movie might be interesting if done right. I dunno, maybe it'd work better as a documentary.

yea, a documentary might be better. I always enjoy hearing what Henry has to say about things. But i want to know more about the Keith Morris/Chava era and the Dez era as well. Im more of a punk documentary guy. I dont want to see biopics about punk rock bands, which is one reason i dont wanna see that Germs movie. That and i really think Shane West sucks as an actor, so him as Darby Crash doesn't do anything for me. Not to mention, the original band is touring under the Germs name, with Shane on vocals, which is stupid as well.
