From what I've seen in the trailers, I'm really digging how Singer is portraying Superman's visuals in the movie. We're going to see flight and other sequences for Supes that have never been seen before on screen, which I think is pretty big subject for discussion.

Superman spinning around while flying so he can look up at the sky while still moving at the same speed, or the way he comes to a stop in mid air while turning around, or the power with which he lands in that one scene, cracking and rumbling the ground. Of course, the bullet to the eye is pretty sweet also.

I'm pretty excited by what we will see that has never been seen before. The Reeve movies, though not for lack of trying, didn't come close to displaying the acrobatic nature of flight the way the comics do. I'm really hoping this movie captures that as well as the many other "little things" that make everything Superman look so fantastic.

while i think that blade was teh first serious comi book movie after batman i still think that singer was the one who brought comic moives back to us. blade was not for all ages.
singer made a movie that is good for kids and even better for adults.

what i respect about singer is that he created a new world. it is really hard to make somethnig different in 2006 after so many comic book movies. and he did it. he made something unique.
you see that singer is taking it serious. he just made sure that everything would be hes own. the fashion and the look of metropolis will be unique. than comes the story in. and i am not talking here about lex and the NK. i am talking about going to krypton and coming back. the world has changed. and than the big change. lois is with a man and has a child. here you can see that singer thought outside the box. he knew from beginnign that fans will hate the kid. plus kids always mean trouble in movie. going off topic here :D:

yes singer is unique and so will SR be.;)

i'll have to see the whole movie first if Singer's visuals are anything to be really awed about. i have pretty high standards when it comes to visual/ stylistic storytelling ;)

but from what i've seen so far of the sets, costumes the "color" of the trailers it looking to be pretty good :)

i have to commend Singer for doing what he's doing with Superman.

the visuals are SPECTACULAR! you'll never see the kind of imagery from Superman Returns from ANY other comic book movie made (not even the original Superman). shots like this...

but what i like most about this film is that, if you want, you can imagine this to be a sequel to the original....but on the other hand, you won't have to have seen the first movie to be able to watch this movie.

Totally agree with you. Yes yes, Christopher Reeve did a great job for the time. He is our quintessential frame of referance for flying.................... but I have a feeling he will be put to second base come June 30th.

Yeah, I think Singer must have understood in making the movie that this is THE movie which must visually express flying in the most extreme and realistic ways. There can be no other movie that does a better job displaying the flight of a man or woman than THIS one.

I think that's what really comes out in the trailers.

I have to admit Singers really done a great job with the action visuals from what we have seen,i found his X Men movies very bland in this department but he has shown style and inventiveness in the use of camera and action in the things we have seen

So far several different types of flying and of course the awesome bullet in the eye as well as the great shots of him dodging debris like a human X Wing during the plane saving sequence:eek:

Obviously the cinematography side of the visuals is absolutely stunning:up:

Positive? oh no we can't have that!!!

The bullet in the eye bit was tame, I mean he did not even blink, why would he not blink :D

I love that SR has more dark colours, it should be so ;)

I dont need next light Spidey.

lol, i was just thinking the same thing!!!

Nice pic Hunter.

On a serious note, yes, Singer's visuals look outstanding. The only other way I would have liked this film is a film how Sky Captain looked, but that's about it.

Genesis camera... genesis camera... who's gonna be the next to praise the genesis camera? :)

one thing i've always wanted to see was the original film with up-to-date effects and thanks to Bryan Singer, i can at least imagine that this film is that film.

the spaceship looks awesome, the Fortress of Solitude looks INCREDIBLE, NK looks VERY interesting and unEarthly, and the suit looks MUCH better on camera. this movie is gonna be the ****!!! it's the Superman movie i never knew i always wanted, hehe...

SR is film of my dream :) :supes:

I'm a bit worried that people will give all credit to the camera... and not to the people who matter - Singer, Newton, etc.

Hope that doesn't happen.
