I've read the book don't worry, but my post was against the promotion of the film, which -i believe- is baddly done for usual cinema-goers; i mean : if you didn't know the GN, does this poster would make you want to see the movie ?
I just think that it doesn't.

You see: we agree more than you would imagine.

I don't like those posters, too, albeit my reasons may be different: I find them too much photoshop (they don't look even a bit real), and find the quotes too tacky (I like best the more silent, ominous tones concerning Watchmen ads).

But Laurie goes out like that, and with that kind of attitude, which is intendedly borderline, but not prostitute material.

You remember she complains a lot about the costume, and criticises her mom because of her profiting on that sexy, fetish image she developed since the 40's.

Laurie looks pretty superheroine fetish, if you want, but it is too much costumy to be a prostitute.

I don't see a problem with Ozymandia's costume like everyone else seems to be having. It looks like a combination of ancient Greek/Egyptian armor. And his quote defines his character more than the rest of the other character posters.

That's because it's low-quality video. In HD (the version where I originally grabbed the above pics from) you can see every crease and wrinkle and it helps sell the age significantly.

Cant really say these posters are doing anything for me, with the obvious exception of the Silk one, as Malin looks great.

The colours used are pretty terrible. Heck, I even don't like the Rorschach one much!
