The Dark Knight Skyhook actually exists.

who showers in a plane?

nevermind.

I just want to know what happened in the plane during Bruce's trip back to Gotham.

When Batman and Lau were pulled into the cargo hold, did the crew immediately draw their guns at Batman because they thought he was going to arrest them? And then Batman had to knock them all out, and fly the plane himself?

Then that must have been an awkward moment for everyone inside that plane. you know seeing batman just seating there with a beat up Chinese man.
Wasnt that airplane Waynes own plane? If so it was probably his own pilot and or he had him sealed off from the back of the plane. Thats wat I would assume...

There was a scene in the script where he first jumps off the plane in Hong Kong, without his mask, I believe. So, the smugglers or whatever they were would have seen Bruce.

Considering they're criminals, doesn't it make sense that they would sell his identity or something?

You would be amazed what money can buy. Is a private contract like getting a man and his cargo from one place to another executed in a illegal manner, so hard to believe in? I mean over a million people a year does it. Why not Batman?

Batman comes on aboard, i must have missed that part. :o

Hey man :) Just think it over. You aint gonna be hanging out the transport hatch for 15 hours over the pacific ocean.

Again. Money (and ofcourse lethal martial skills) will get you a long way.
Who said he'd take his mask off?

How did that plane manage to fly so low and near a populated city? Especially in China? Why didn't the Chinese government shoot it down?

Because it was carrying a billionaire superhero with the means to make the plane invisible.

Maybe he bought off some high level players in the chinese goverment. Maybe he did it with technology. Who knows?
He does what he needs to do and with all his money, wits and enginuity backing him.

Again. This is Batman we're talking about.

u got yourself quite imagination there.

it look like some random airplane, that happened to be close to the Lau's building.

ok. But batman is a freak in a batsuit. he might like that.:cwink:

They're just all sitting there...Batman twiddling his thumbs, the Chinese man still freaked out....

"So uh....Batman right? how's it going?"

"...GOOD!" in his really low, raspy voice

.....more awkward silence.....

*in batmans growlings voice* "CAN I HAVE SOME PEANUTS PLZZZZ"

Skyhook exists, but don't take this to mean the way it was portrayed in the film was entirely accurate. It would have ripped his arm off, if attempted in that manner.

I watched that scene with my father and told him from the beginning that it was "so awesome" and right before it happened he knew exactly what was going on since he had apparently known all about the sky hook program.

This scene gives me goosebumps literally every single time I see it, seriously.

i've got here something for all the non-believers, i think here are also some people who thought in the theater "yeah sure ..."
nearly no one of my friends would belive me that it´s possible, nevertheless
that i'm an engineering student :P

its actually simple science... you can make an easy test
with a cord and something strapped at the end, to see that the
acceleration isnt so fast ...

but i think this is even more convincing & interesting for all of you :)

that's pretty sweet, thought it was slightly over the top but definitely possible,

Cool video...I can't help but think how awesome it would feel to be pulled by a plane like that! Seriously feel like you're flying!

I initially thought it felt out of place for a Nolan Batman film...

But they did give an explanation, and your video does have merit... so I guess its very cool.

Nice little, dramatic 'I'm Batman, and I'm Badass' moment.

Skyhook was not something made up by Nolan for the movie. It was actually a real thing done during the Cold War to get operatives out of hot zones. Metal Gear Solid 3 brought this issue up to. Although it is a video game it deals with real world things, etc. Skyhook is real.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was the first time I ever heard of it. Anything military based related (except Metal Gear itself) is based off something real. I was quite surprised to see it in a Batman movie.
