Slender Man / Marble Hornets movie

I've watched marble hornets before finding this thread, but yeah I'm 100% for having the Slender man become more known by going to the big screen.

That was really creepy , something about the Slender Man just chilling in the background was enough to scare me.

just finished entry 31, the latest. idk, its getting kind repetitive now. and i can't for the life of figure out what pills and people in white masks have to do with the slender man, or why this dude keeps losing his memory. i hope we get some answers soon, anybody have any idea as to when the next video will be up? like is there a specific pattern to when they're posted?

This will be one horror film I will actually see and anticipate, because it will ACTUALLY terrify me, if done right.
I discovered the Possessed Majora Mask cartridge story and Slenderman in one day. I didn't not sleep well for awhile.

i wonder how long the creator of this will keep the series of entries going. it looks like its nowhere near its conclusion lol. and anybody check out the youtube totheark channel? it ties in with marblehornets, i think its suppose to be the slender mans youtube channel or something.

You know we have a thread dedicated to this (Creepypasta) in the community forum. When it first started, Hotwire began posting as member Slender Man. It was funny, but at the time so many of us had just started watching these and Slender Man's apperance creeped us out.

TotheArk is either a servant or opponent of Slenderman in Marble Hornets and most likely Jay's friend Tim. The pills were used to combat the sickness you get from prolonged haunting by Slendy. We see Tim sick and using pills in numerous appearances of his, then he disappears and TotheArk = Masky shows up.

It's just not revealed whose side he's on.

I agree, I was kinda disappointed I wanted to see more of the slender man popping out. I was looking for him in the background in a lot of those videos where he wasnt even there.

Alot of people are saying that movie was in development long before Slenderman became huge, but it is a mighty perfect coinky dinky that suddenly a movie about a tall figure that abducts people is being made.

Eh, I don't think so. The tall man is clearly influenced by the Gentlemen from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who's to say the movie isn't influenced heavily from that.

I double dare you to cast this film, dye their hair, and put them in your avatar.
:cwink:

Here's the thing, when Victor Surge created Slenderman, he put a list of things together that just ****ing terrified him. One of which were the Gentlemen from the Hush. That's why there's that similarness.

Slendy would kick the Gentlemen's ass though.

lol
I'm not gonna lie, I have debated drawing a poster for how I would like to see a movie poster look.

I did not know that. Cool to know.

Mosaic is moving into horror films via a feature based on the web series "Marble Hornets."

Mosaic is producing the film along with Kirill Baru and John Zaozirny. James Moran, the second unit director on the past three "Paranormal Activity" films, is set to direct from Ian Shorr's script.

The movie is being financed by Mosaic topper Jimmy Miller and his partners Mark Attanasio, Ken Sacks and Michael Sacks. Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane's Good Universe is handling international sales.

Production will begin in the spring.

Created by Troy Wagner and Joseph Delage, "Marble Hornets" has more than 250,000 subscribers on YouTube with over 55 million views and 65 episodes populated with a faceless villain, The Operator. The story originated with fictional film student Alex Kralie, who abandoned his feature project after encountering The Operator while shooting.

Mosaic's a major player in the comedy realm with such titles as "The Other Guys" and "Bad Teacher" and management clients such as Judd Apatow, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Jim Carrey.

Shorr is repped by UTA and Mosaic's Langley Perer. Moran is repped by the Gotham Group.

This might be cool. I wonder if it will affect people who make their own Slender Man vlogs. You know, Slender Man getting trademarked by some company.

I heard you wouldn't be able to make a 'Slenderman' movie because so many people have a 'stake' in what Slenderman is... I dunno if that's true but that could part explain the Tall Man movie maybe..

At any rate, I always thought a Slenderman movie would be cool and probably do quite well, given the found footage popularity at the moment. I hope they do stick with the general premise presented in Marble Hornets 'cos out of all the Slenderman stuff, that's always being the more interesting one to me..

I don't think MH has ever referred to him by name, so maybe they can get away with never saying who it is, and you don't have to trademark anything.

Most of the series all have different names for Slendy, in Marble Hornets for instance its The Operator.

As for Slender Man, I think it's pretty well the Public Domain at this point.

Found footage is this generation's slasher?
