Smoking may prevent Parkinson's Disease

Too bad about that pesky cancer and heart disease, and a plethora of all other problems it directly causes.

It's like saying being shot reduces chances of dying by stabbing.

Certainly not outside the realm of possibility (it in fact seems likely), but strange nonetheless. If you know that you're at risk for Parkinson's, I suppose it comes down to weighing the risks and benefits.

yeah, it prevents it by killing you beforehand. Some cure.

My grandfather smoked and still got Parkinson's Disease. *****es are lying.

Same thing for my grandmother. Shes still alive and well into her 70's, but has parkinson's nonetheless.

Reminds me of a Jimmy Carr joke.
"You are ten times more likely to get mugged in London, then in New York City... That's because you don't live in New York City."

Off topic I know.

Smoking. Bad! See, all good.
