Snowy Hell from the Midwest to the East Coast

The main streets are not bad at all by me (Maryland) it's the side streets that suck. I have alot of hills around my neighborhood and saw 4 wheels drive vehicles getting stuck.....and now they're talking about more snow tomorrow.

I got about a foot last weekend. But I'm kinda happy I might get another foot tomorrow into Wednesday. I'm definitely not going to work.

There calling for anywhere from six inches to another foot tomorrow. Does anyone know the appropriate way to tell snow to GTFO?

If this global warming doesn't ease up we're all going to freeze to death. :p

GTFO sounds as good a thing as any.

We're supposed to get a foot tomorrow. I kind of hope we do so that I get a snowday.

We didn't get but a foot of snow I think.
But more snow is coming this afternoon/evening... supposed to get about 10 inches of the wet/heavy stuff (which means we'll most likely get power outages too) :down

I hope and pray for no power outages, I'm knocking on wood for no power outages.

Yeah, especially seeing as our whole house is electric.
We have a well (which means we have a well pump to get water to the house) so if the electricity is out we have no water either :(

Erz for the Star Wars Nerd Win. :awesome:

Is it wrong that I'm not worried about having electricity for all the wrong reasons? Such as having NOTHING to do when I'm trapped in my apartment?

that's exactly why birth rates in this country spike just about 9-10 months after big snowstorms ;)

Well, considering I'm gay and can't give birth, I won't be adding to that spike. :o

Have you gone ahead and filled up your tub with water for flushing, etc? We did that just in case, and had piles of snow ready in case we had to move perishables from the fridge into coolers so we'd have some makeshift freezers.

I went and bought a big ass bottle of Cuervo. Just go scoop a measuring cup full of snow off the back porch, poor some in, and instant margarita!

I just got an e-mail from my college saying that the campus will be closed tomorrow due to inclement winter weather.:applaud

They've already closed the NYC public schools tomorrow, and they never close the schools unless there's a big storm on the way.

I live in NJ but I work in NYC, I'm hoping my commute ain't gonna happen tomorrow.

They close schools here if slight, quark-sized possibility of snow even gets mentioned in the forecast

I haven't yet as the snow hasn't arrived yet.

But, we will be filling the bathtub and a few gallons with filtered water...

I want to visit Minnesota or somewhere, and see how normal life goes on when it snows...such a thing is alien to me

I felt the same way when I went to Disney World in December a few years ago. It took a day or so to get used to Christmas decorations and 90-degree weather in the same place. :wow:
