I didn't know that norse mythology said something about a horn, but I don't know much about those gods and their stories either.
The bible though, also tells about horn/trumpet sounds. Maybe the end is actually coming?

Dunno about that, but the article itself I think meant someone actually blew the horn, not some random mysterious horn sound.
