I was at work, doing the cashier, and she used her credit card. I thought her last name was Bateman at first, then I realized it and I was like:

"Woah! Your last name is Batman?"

She's like "Uh yeah..." like she wasn't proud of it or something

"That's like the coolest. How do you get a last name like that?"

She says sarcastically "My dad's Bruce Wayne."

Haha, it really wasn't that funny.

But seriously, that's weird. What is it, Jewish?

This reminds me of a certain episode of "The Peoples Court" (I think) where one of the people in one of the cases had the last name "Batman". But what was funny was how the announcer said it, and then later had to apoligize since he seemed like he was trying to do his best Michael Buffer impression when saying the name.
