Anyone have some suggestions for what to do there? I went one before, but I wasn't really able to enjoy anything since I got sick.:(

Yeah, win me alot of money at the Blackjack Table. I just love Blackjack!!

Where are you staying?

I'm going the week before Memorial Day, and I can't wait! I'm going with a group of friends, one of whom has already been multiple times, so I'm trusting him with whatever suggestions he has.

Free Drinks in Las Vegas

Drink Up!

By Zeke Quezada, About.com

As you may know drinks are free in Las Vegas as long as you’re dropping money into a machine or playing at one of the table games. You can, however, score free drinks if you’re watching someone else play or if you’re just standing around in the Casino. The trick is to tip well. It sounds simple but if you’re sitting at the 25 cent slots tip the waitress $2 dollars and I will guarantee you she will be back by the time you’re next drink needs to be ordered. What I typically do is tip the waitress $5 right off the bat just so that she understands I ‘m not a cheap ass. This goes a long way. After the initial tip $1 is all that’s needed. If you’re winning drop a few more dollars in. If you’re playing at a one of the tables the chances are good you will see more waitresses come by but just to be sure pop in a good tip and you will easily have your fill of adult beverages.

Uh no, due to the economy a lot of the waitress been laid off, I was there last month and gamble and didn't see one waitress come up to me while I play, tables or slots.

Scarlet spidey, check out www.Vegas.com also if you like to see some of the shows prices have been slashed

Depends if you are looking to slum it or really make a trip of it.

When I went, we stayed at the Bellagio, very nice hotel, and it wasn't as expensive as one would think as we got there on a weekday.

We got tickets in advance as yes some do sell out. We got tickets for Cirque Du Soleil's Ka. It's a mixture of acrobats and martial arts. I heard "O" was pretty good and would have been the one we went to see however, it was on vacation the day we went. But I really recommend Ka.

The shows you really want to see, I would really recommend getting tickets there ahead of time.

However, if you are just going and aren't looking to spend too much money, there are several little kiosks up and down the strip with discount tickets to various shows, "some" of the Cirque Du Soleil, some of the headliners, etc. We got tickets to a burlesque show and Penn & Teller there. Some of the seats were "okay" but at a discount it wasn't bad.

If you have a day to kill, I recommending seeing the South or West Rim part of the Grand Canyon. They pick you up at one of the Casino parking areas and stop you at Hoover Dam, which they have repaired since the Decepticons were there and then you have a good 4 - 5 hours exploring various parts of the Grand Canyon. The West Rim is closer and we got back around 5 - 6 pm, the South Rim excursion will take you back to Vegas probably around 10 - 11 pm.

In regards to places to eat, you really can't go wrong depending on your taste. Great inexpensive Filipino place on the Strip, and of course, the more expensive places at the Casinos. There was an all you can eat Sushi place located at Paris which was really good.

Like I said, depending on what you want to spend, you can still have a good time regardless but obviously you'd be doing different things.

:lmao:

I don't know why I keep saying Borgata when I mean Bellagio.

the wax museum is cool and also don't venture too far from the strip.

We walked off the strip to visit the Atomic Testing Museum which was pretty fascinating. Also, went to their mall which was like a few minutes away.

I've stayed at Treasure Island, Bellagio, and Paris at Vegas before, and I like Bellagio the best (although Paris isn't bad either). Aside from playing at casino, you should definitely go see a show or two. I've seen Cirque de Soleli's O, Mystique(sp?), and Zumanity (only for adults; they have nudity there). I heard Phantom of the Opera is pretty cool (according to my in-laws), so if you love musical you should check it out. Oh, and make sure to hit the buffets too. I like the buffets at Bellagio & Paris, but I love 'The Buffet' at the Wynn; imo it's the best.

We want to stay at the Wynn next time.

Take a s***load of money and try to keep it. If you're a wrestling fan, Sam's Town hosts a free PPV party for each event. It's the next best thing to being there.

YAY! I did the same thing 2 years ago in here when I was going and actually did some of the suggestions. I had a good time and actually won money:up:

Where are you staying?
Haven't figured that out, I'll probably know tomorrow though.

This sounds pretty interesting. What time of day did you leave? How long over all was the visit?

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys.:)

It's like an 11 hour trip if I remember.

The tour bus leaves like around 7:30 AM. Then it's like a 2 1/2 to 3 hour bus ride.

This takes you to the West Rim which is on an Indian Reservation. They have a skyway that's on there where you can look straight down the canyon. This is not part of the National Park system so the people who work there pretty much just want your money. If you are on the skyway, you can't even bring your own camera you have to check it in.

Don't get me wrong it was beautiful there and I don't regret it. The reason that we chose it was it got us back around 6:30 pm.

The trip to the South Rim, is like another 5 hour trip so you will get back like around 11 pm. I haven't been on this. So you will have to look that up. The South Rim is I believe a National Park.

Anywho, I think the tickets are $115 each for the West Rim per person. I know there may be different tours and variable prices but I think that's what we paid.

Of course you could always rent a car and drive yourself there too.

Go see a show. They are expensive but some are definitely worth it.

They water down the alcohol and giving tips is paying for drinks btw:o You could sneak in a flask and get more for your buck.

But, I did take them up on the free drinks while I was there.

Psh... we all know that Decepticons don't really exist... God wouldn't allow that.

Go see a show. They are expensive but some are definitely worth it.

I mentioned Cirque Du Soleil's Ka and O. I mean if you are into the Beatles you can see the Musik one.

Penn & Teller are always entertaining, they have a few magicians there as well as David Copperfield, and Lance Burton.

Of course there will be headliners such as Cher, Tom Jones and Wayne Brady among others.

Then there's the tribute shows and you can see one of those adult shows like Bite.

I'd do my research on what shows you really want to see, like I said there are some better selling shows and even if you want to take a chance at one of those 1/2 price places, the seats sometimes aren't as good as if you order them in advance. So you might want to book that show or shows that you really want to see and if you have a night free just walk on over there and see what they have.

Cirque Du Soleil is AMAZING period

One of my favorite things they have done :D
