Having went through multiple LA Spidey suits (The Electric Company is counted) without underarm webbing, do you think the MCCU suit should have it or just stay as it is?

Never saw the point of them. If anything, it feels like they hinder flexibility.

I think if he has a homemade costume to start out I'd like to see armpit webbing.

It was part of the original design and we haven't seen it done in live action before- is there a point to them? No, but they're fun and I've always thought that they add to that way people perceive Spidey as creepy or weird. I think no armpit webs can kind of show a growth and more tidiness down the road as he really becomes that 'friendly neighborhood Spider-Man' and well known out there.

Ah yes, that way even Peter Parker can show his armpit hair. :o
Ahowabout no?
Armpit webbing has never looked nice. The ONLY time it really looks good is when it is full arm, when it looks like he is using a glider-suit. I would be fine if he eventually had an upgrade to that, but not off the bat for sure, and even then it should be an alternative suit he wears for special occasions.

Do they? Its not like they don't flex
Rubber bands flex.
Rubber bands hinder move-ability.
So do stretchy spider webs.
Unless they are so loose they would just stretch out and fall to the ground... they will hinder move-ability.

Underarm webbing helps him glide, so yes, It does serve a purpose.

And Feigue said the suit will have a classic feel, so I think it's still a possibility.

Never heard of it till now...
But I now know who the first Spidey-Villain should be:

I'd like to see it but used more for extra style and flare. Like Spectacular Spider-Man

I'm not a fan but hey if they can make it work then they can. But the webbing serves no purpose. Also the comics cheat in that they go way when his arms aren't raised. In a film they need to go somewhere.

Now a web cape like Spider-man 2099........thats style.

I would like to see a web cape as well.

Eh, I want to see him be more creative with his webbing! I would like to see him use them as weapons (like Spider-Man Edge of Time) I would love to see web hammers or web torpedoes. get creative! there are endless possibilities!

What if they made them eject out of his armpits whenever he needs them?
Oh right... that just shows how silly it is. :whatever:
It would be hard to make a serious PP if he had those all the time.

uhhh... no... not EVER...

Only on Spider-Man 2099.

But webs making shapes in live action would be pretty bad. I love it in the 60s cartoon but that kind of stuff would be completely out there. Hell, remember what people said about the web making a hand reaching out in TASM2? And that was trying to be subtle.

oh hell yeah...
Sweet avatar!

That's exactly what they could do. make them pop out whenever Peter needs to glide.
It wouldn't be hard to take him seriously, because it adds to the creepiness/freakyness of factor Spider-Man, something that has been missing in the past films. (TASM1 was the closest though).

Exactly! It's too cartooney. If spiderman becomes a complete comedy and he defies comic book logic like deadpool, maybe he could have web-armpit-hairs, but otherwise it doesn't make sense in a realistic MCU.

Where would they pop out from though?? I could see maybe a throwback to it; spideys in a situation where he needs to glide so he webs up his armpits as a solution but thats about it

Is this too much to ask for?

Embrace the comic bookiness.

Even that is pretty much what would ruin Spider-Man for the MCU...
I think the farthest they could go is a special suit used for some occasion which has web patterned gliders under his arms. Even actually making it web is a bit too silly, as it would have holes in it, and trying to get around that by making a thin layer of web then a thicker layer that makes a web pattern is honestly stupid.
For a realistic MCU they would have to purposefully pull some single suit out for a specific fight scene. It would have to have a reason for it, and currently even if it can glide, spidey can swing, that's what he does. You cant just give him gliders and make him swing up in the air just to glide a mile or two before he has to swing up again, he ISN'T falcon. This glider would actually take some away from falcon that we don't want taken away, why have falcon if spidey is basically falcon with super strength and climbing abilities and a webshooter? No reason.
