Recently i've been thinking about First Class as a trilogy. Essentially by the 3rd movie, the ending would leave you feeling that X-Men would be the next movie. So here are some thoughts from the original trilogy i feel needs to be addressed in the two sequels.

1. Magneto's mutant making machine

Erik, Raven, Victor & Mortimer - none of them has displayed an understanding of the science behind evolution. Going by first class, Erik became a mercenary hunting down former Nazi's in search of Mr.Smidt whom was really Sebastian Shaw. Raven - grew up with Charles Xavier who became an expert in the subject which would suggest that Raven would of picked up on some of the basics during Xavier's time in Oxford, However judging by her comments of the fact that she is studying waitressing. I figure she probably wasnt to bright to begin with because most of her concentration was being used to hide her appearance ot look more human. Victor as of X-Men Origins Wolverine - before looking pre-bad hair day. Wasnt too bright either, he was basically an animal who enjoyed killing. Granted, he worked in weapon x for a while and knew how to take a blood sample which would suggest he has been involved in the science area. I dont think he would necessarly know how to create a machine that Magneto uses and then theres the fact that he has become more beastly looking by X-Men with little intelligence which could of been the result of the machine back firing. We just dont know. Then there is mortimer who really was only in first movie and only displayed abilities in flying a helicopter and painting... essentially i feel with him you may have some idea that Toad pieced the device together, he seemed to act like the engineer type. But i dont think he could of come up with how the machine works. Also you could look at Azazel, Angel Salvadore, Riptide and Emma Frost who techically joins the brotherhood after First Class but if you look at the time period, the techinology probably wasnt around at the time and even if it was i dont see any of those four characters knowing anything about mutation that would be the bases of creating the machine. They pretty much where hired help.

So how would we explain it. The machine requires 2 things, i high level of education of mutation and knowledge of creating devices that can be used in scientific experiments... In the x-men marvel universe there is probably two characters that would be capable of doing this. The first, which i consider being the more probable is the High Evolutionary - who pretty much studied mutation under Mr.Sinister who was in diguise at the time but consider what the high evolutionary has done in the comics, create humans and animals into mutants via machines. I would figure that Magneto's machine was created by him. The other scenario woud be that Sinister himself helped create the machine. Being the only other mutate that knows how to tern a human into a mutant considering he used to be human. story wise the high evolutionary would be more consist to how the comic books would tell it. However if you a big studio making a film you woulf probably want to use Sinister because of popularity.

I ran out of time to go over the other points but i had about 5 but ill post the rest later what do you think of this one?
