Animation Sony's K-pop: Demon Hunters

Watched this yesterday. So good. Very dynamic and energetic Spider-Man: ITSV-style animation, with a bit of an anime flair. Very funny. More heartfelt than I was expecting. Already have a bunch of the songs stuck in my brain. I’m thinking about probably watching it again very soon, and I don’t normally do that because of everything else that I’m trying to catch up on. I loved it that much.

Even if you’re not into KPop, I would still check it out.

The animation feels much more Mitchells vs the Machines than Spiderverse. But yeah, I very much enjoyed this movie. 3 songs in particular I have been listening to since I've watched it. And big props for the trailer hiding a rather big portion of the movie's plot.

Of course a K-pop Demon Boy Band being the ultimate counter weapon.

I would say it’s about 50/50 or 40/60. Some of it some of it is a bit smoother, but some of it is also a bit choppier.

I’ve been listening to the entire soundtrack pretty much on and off throughout the entire day.

And, yeah, I was surprised at how much they managed to not spoil.

Really enjoyed this. Just a really fun, lighthearted ride, with a decent message. Sadly the ending dampens the message, but hopefully room for the sequel to improve.

On a rewatch, caught a good shot of Huntrix's ramyeon flavors. Poor Zoey. I'm hoping that is just a name for a beef flavor because her being american. (Hers is Hamburger)

Also, required in a sequel, Seline having a scene with the Korean Hollywood "healer". Look at the IMDB, you will know why.

The animators had some real fun in this. Also, it is fun to watch reactions to this movie.

In important news, Netflix has a plush tiger in their store....

Sure side with the pretty girls and half demon. :o

Look, all the songs are great. But, I think Golden, on a pure technical standpoint, stands out. And then, you read some of EJAE's history, and hear what she was able to do in Golden, and its just like, give her everything. How the **** did they decide not to use that voice in some kpop group, it boggles my mind.

This was a pretty damn good ride. I'm hoping the success may allow it to be screened at cinemas for a weekend so I can see it on a big screen. I'm also a Kpop fan so I got some good chuckles at the self awareness of the genre.
Just don't rush the girls during their preshow binge.
