Sound Trouble :(

this morning, after a dispute between myself and my mother over having
too many files on our computer, my mother decided *hey, i might as well delete anything i see that i believe is useless*

now, i wake up, turn on my music, only to find a message pop up that tells me, basicly, that my sound device is gone, and asks me if i have the latest sound drivers installed..and, being the most uninformed teenager in the world when it comes to computers, i have NO idea how to recover my sound.

im hoping that one of you fine people can help me, for all i know the answer is simple, maybe it's not, i dont know, so im asking PLEASE someone help me out on this.

If you have a mainstream computer, you can go to the manufacturer's website and download the sound driver. At most manufacturer websites you're able to poke in your model number and you'll be taken to the appropriate drivers.

If reinstalling the driver doesn't work, there's a few other things I can think of that could cause such an issue, but downloading the sound driver and installing it is probably the best place to start in your circumstance.

sounds good, the problem is im not exactly sure where to go to download and install the driver.
