Animation South Park

It's "hanging on by a thread" and yet somehow has been renewed for another 5 years, with Paramount paying over a billion to continue letting it "hang by a thread."

Not sure if it was mentioned here but at SDCC Trey and Matt confirmed that the trailer that came out earlier this year didn't actually have any material for the new season since it was too far out in advance anyway. On the one hand that's hilarious and totally on brand for them but on the other hand I'm disappointed because I wanted to see Butters as an air traffic controller and Diddy in Space. :o

Also, no new episode this week. :(
Which I find so strange, given how quickly Matt and Trey can put together episodes, but not unrealistic, either. The show just started and there's already a one-week break?

Seasons 25 and 26 only had six episodes apiece. I can't imagine this one having much more than that, but with Trey and Matt, you never know.

According to this, there's supposed to be 10 episodes this season:

Was the second episode originally supposed to air last night and got pushed back a week?

Nice to see South Park not letting up on Trump and his administration in their second episode.

Good.

I kind of wish that the podcast stuff took up more of the episode because that is something that could be an entire episode's worth of content. More stuff with the boys, really. The Trump stuff, while funny, hopefully isn't in every episode because we've already seen Matt and Trey dial back on the serialized stuff- on top of already doing a Trump season with Garrison.

If it's just one scene here or there, that's fine, but as is always the case with South Park, the focus should be on the boys. Though, if just for how tired I am of him in all the marketing, I will admit that Noem shooting Krypto did make me laugh. :D

Looks like they want to reign in South Park and The Daily Show for taking shots at the mango.
They double down even more and it gets them even higher ratings on Paramount+, giving them no choice but to keep letting them do whatever they want or risk losing a big streaming cash cow.

They absolutely torched Noem. As soon as I saw Krypto flying in I said "Oh no" out loud. :weeping:
