Comedy Spaceballs Sequel from Mel Brooks and Josh Gad

It's not even just that. Comedy sequels that come out 20-30 years after the original have a very high failure rate when it comes to quality (Dumb and Dumber To, Coming 2 America). If it's a hit I'll eat crow but I'm not expecting much from this.

And yet the new Beverly Hills Cop was excellent.

You know, it'd be kind of morbid, but it would actually be easy to explain Barf's absence by just saying he ages in dog years like a regular dog.

I agree with the idea that they waited too long to do this though. In comparison, the original Space Balls came out the same year as Return of the Jedi. Whereas now it's already been five years since Rise of Skywalker.

But that said...
