I liked the Davis Bloome / Doomsday development throughout the series, and was interested in how they linked his arrival with Veritas as well as with Zod and Faora. Also with the dilemma is provided Clak in terms of whether he would choose to kill Davis, as well as the idea of having him a paramedic by day and beast by night. Even though it was just like Bruce Banner and the Hulk, it suprised me enough to have me intrigued with the way they handled the character(s).
However, with that said, the silly need to turn everything into romantic drama, the "relationship" with Chloe tuned me out big time and made me appreciate her character less. Then with the decision to separate Davis and Doomsday, and then proceed to have Davis kill Jimmy made the entire buildup and idea to use Black K seem pointless. Yes, it was a completely unexpected twist, but it didn't make sense to the overall arc to have the human stay with the evil beast desires.
