A California paraplegic who's used a wheelchair for 20 years was able to walk again after being bitten by a poisonous spider.

Doctors aren't sure exactly how it happened but are calling his progress a miracle.

Did they ever say what caused his paralysis? It's not likely that the spider venom repaired nerve damage, which means that the condition was probably caused by something that blocked the signal from his brain to his peripheral nervous system. Maybe the dude had swelling that was reduced by the venom, reducing pressure on his spinal cord. That would also raise the question of whether the condition would return...

This is clearly a sign that Spiders are now trying to make an alliance with the humans to battle the Insect Overlords.

And before anyone corrects me, Spiders are arachnyids (spelling?) so not insects.
