Comics spider-man 2099

What's the deal with him now? He's got another figure with the Spiderman Origins line, he's been in Exiles for a while and he's got an Ecomic up on the Marvel site. Is there something coming soon for this character or the 2099 line? (so long as it isn't that crap 1-shots they did not too long ago).

That'd be sweet, Miguel O'Hara has really grown on me... I'm liking him more each time I read another Spider-Man 2099 story... And I've been meaning to pick up the Exiles trades with him in it... are they any good?

haha, me too. I miss the S-Man.

2099 was a good series, I even liked the X-Men too, and quite possibly a lot more than the craptacular UXM. The 2099 universe was great when I read it as a kid, but these days, at best I'd hope for a limited series. I don't think they'll ever restart the world of tomorrow again.

I thought all the 2099 titles were crap bar SM.
A return of SM2099 would be great but I'm not about to hold my breath.

The only REALLY good SM2099 stories are written by Peter David (that includes the Captain Marvel stroy arc). He created the character and gave him the quirky and slightly edgy personality that I loved. And, unfortunately, he doesn't really have that in the Exiles stories.

Hmmm, maybe they are going to do something with the character long term. It'd be nice to see another Spider-Man 2099 book. I remember that Marvel, maybe a year or two back did a new 2099 line with Daredevil, Punisher, and a few others.

So, maybe they will do something. I hope so. He was kick ass to the tenth power.

At least with Spider-man 2099 (in the Exiles comics)........he got unmasked by the HULK physically ripping it from his face.....

And not because he was a pansy (let alone out of character) and unmasked because some "hero" told him to...lol...

Bonus is that when you're jumping from alternate reality to reality, you don't really have to worry about it getting back to the hometown crowd.

Yeh...that's the whole reason he wanted to leave his reality and go with the Exiles.

If Peter had been written correctly, he'd want to leave HIS reality too...lol....he's always COMPLETELY worried about that happening and putitng others at risk.

But...it is cool to see spidey 2099 again!!

If it bothers you that much you could always just pretend really hard that Hulk ripped off regular universe Spider-Man's mask as well. All you gotta do is close your eyes really tight and just think it...maybe it'll happen.
