(I am sorry if there is already a thread, but I was to dumb to find the search function)

Does anyone know something new about the Original Motion Picture Score of Spider-Man 3?

I stumbled upon this site http://www.soundtracklist.net/young.htmIt looks so real and official. Could this mean they are going to release the score finally- or is it a fake?

I wasn't able to get on it, but I'm guessing that website was put up four years ago. There already is a soundtrack for Spider-Man 3 that came out four years ago.

Not sure if Music From and Inspired By is the same thing as an Original Motion Picture Score though.

-->That's the soundtrack with Snow Patrol and other normal radio songs. I meant the instrumental score composed by Christopher Young.

But thanks for your answer :)
Well, something was wrong with the link, I fixed it, the website is still there.http://www.soundtracklist.net/young.htm

I would LOVE for the score to be released, but I just don't think it will.

It's a website for creating alternate covers for cds. It's not genuine. If they didn't release the score when the movie came out, then I don't think they would release one at all.

I honestly can't believe that an official soundtrack was never released. I love the "Music from/ Inspired by" cds, but they never replace tha actual score. Plus I love SM3, and I thought the score was fantastic.

This score and a Spider-man 3.1 are the two things I want more than anything. I actually did pic up a burned cd of the score at a comic book show a few years back, but an official one would be sweet.

Didn't someone post the score, or a rip of the score here a few years back. I have a lot of them and I could've swore I downloaded them from a link someone posted here.

One was never released? Really? :S

Not sure where I got it from (downloaded it a while ago) but I've got a 2 disc score which has trailer music, main movie score, unused themes.

There's never been an actual release of the score, I doubt it will in the next ten years, and there's been a ton of bootleg releases of it, but I did email christopher young's representive, and got a copy of it from him. :D

Of the official score? Gimme his email, please! :wow:

Still prefer Elfman's two Spidey scores over this. But wouldn't mind seeing this get a release some day.

Elfman is still the ebst, IMO. But I do think Young did a great job as well.

I agree there. I love what Danny did for Spidey. Even if asked I don't think he'd want to come back again. Even without Raimi on board - who he didn't want to work with again. He's already given his version and it was terrific. Young scoring TASM would be acceptable. He wouldn't have any Elfman restrictions this time and would be free to go totally his own way. Eg. finally adapting his new love theme, Aunt May theme, etc.

Well, tbh, I heard recently that Elfman and Riami made up. He's scoring Raimi's next film Oz: The Great and Powerful.

I don't mean to get off topic but what do some of you think of Horner scoring the reboot ? Still no real confirmation. But a collaborator on Horner's scores said Sony or whoever talked to Horner about scoring it back in May. Think he'll measure up to Elfman and Young ?

Not sure yet. Only time will tell, but tbh, it's going to be VERY hard to top Elfman and Young's score, if you ask me.

Yeah I'm not sure what to think myself. I'm in the middle between good and bad. Imho, his best days are pretty much behind him. Eventhough he has come out with some good scores from time to time. Just not as great as his 80s or a few of his 90s scores, imo. Yeah only time will tell. I just hope he doesn't blow it and give Spiderman a lackluster score. I'm really interested in what approach he'll take the score. Give Spidey a motif like Elfman did or a march like Williams did with Superman?
