A sewer fight would have been cool if it was actually done right, unlike how it was in SM3.
It was done pretty well in that game, spin attacks, grabs, bites the head, tail attacks, etc...

I want to see the Multi-Web-Tie from Spider-Man 2: The Game return, albeit limited to two simultaneous web ties instead of four.

I'd want that as well.

Overall, I want "realistic" web attacks incorporated into a free flow system. That would be great.

Uhh, why? The number reason why I was stoked for this movie game was the potential for a school fight with the Lizard. It'd be like something we've never seen before in a game. Now that opportunity is completely gone. A sewer fight would have been cool if it was actually done right, unlike how it was in SM3.

Eh, it's not something I'm too fussed about.

I admit, we are missing out on something...but who's to say they don't have something better in store for us?

We've only seen one enemy so far.

No it wasn't. None of those things have anything to do with the sewer itself. That's all fighting mechanics.

I'm talking about the sewer. It wasn't localized enough. Way too spread out and at times it felt like Spidey knew the sewers as well as the Lizard did.

There could be a very creepy atmosphere as well in the sewers.

But fight is about mechanics, not sewers

They were pretty straight forward anyway, only some curves here and there

The giant spider robot isn't exactly "kinda grounded in realism" so I don't think they'll have that it mind.

Well to be fair, it's not an alien life form, a vampire or a sand monster, it's just a robot, sooo it's kinda grounded in realism.

And by "grounded in realism" I don't mean anything nearly as realistic as a Nolan Batman universe or anything like that, we are after all talking about a world where a man can completely turn into a huge 9 feet tall lizard monster in a short time period. Next to that a giant robot isn't far fetched at all :whatever: wouldn't you agree?

I agree
But man, that robot was built fast or was it being built before Spider-Man comes out about a year?

Actually, I just happened to find the game version Smythe's character bio, it explains that perfectly!:

Spencer Smythe:

- talents: Really ****ing fast at building giant robot spiders!

Nah I'm just joking :awesome: but remember, this is like the silly origin of Molten Man, it's cool as long as you don't look too much into it

I bet the immersion thing they're talking about is motion control. At the E3 Sony press conference, they showed Spider-Man as a gaming franchise that would utilize motion control sometime in the future.

I was kinda hoping that'd be for those ****** party games aimed at like 6 year olds.

Not an actual big boy game. :csad:

Silly silver age comics origin breaks boundary of silliness, this shouldn't go that far

I wouldn't mind the game having Move/Kinect support. It's gimmicky, but it could be fun.

I think they should have incorporated the PS Move for the first person scenes in SD.

Would have worked perfectly.

Could be fun yes, but I wouldn't want it to be anything more than just a small extra, I hate games that are about motion control/that have motion control being an important part of the game

Honestly, I don't think it would be that bad and I'd actually love it. Using the wiimote and nunchuck in Spider-Man 3, to shoot the webs and swing around, was a total blast. I would be happy to be able to do it again with the Move in this game.

Imagine if moon knight was in one of the battles? Epicness :woot:

There's no chance. This is based off of the movie & as far as I know, Marvel/Disney owns the rights to movies about Moon Knight. If we were to see another hero make a cameo, it'd be Ghost Rider... But I doubt that would happen. Though, it'd be amazing if he was an unlockable character.

I don't think that applies to the games, regardless of whether or not they're from a movie license.

Of course, I'm most likely wrong.

I was actually thinking about Ghost Rider appearing, while at work. I think it would be a nice way to establish that Spider-Man isn't the only hero in the world. I wouldn't even make it a battle. More like Ghost Rider appearing in the city and hunting down one of his enemies, as Spider-Man we'd have to follow them and take care of the collateral damage they leave in their wake.

I was thinking about this. I would guess it's possible to use someone, like say Wolverine, as a guest character, as long as they base him off on the comic design and not Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
