Hey guys.
I created this topic for people to discuss possible techniques and ideas for creating a Spider-Man costume; whether it be from the movies, comics or cartoons.
If you are interested in building a pair of working Spidey gloves, check out my other thread:

Thanks for looking. I look forward to your ideas and contributions. :yay:

For comic con next year, I'm building a new ultimate spider-man costume. The costume will be two parts: mask and body suit. The webs will be red puffy paint. The spider on the back and front and the big red stripes will be spandex. Not sure about the eyes yet. I might use some tinted white acrylic plastic and just put it on the mask (outlining it with red). I probably won't give it a honeycomb pattern, but if i really wanted to, i could just create a patter easily. What I would do is buy one of those fold up laundry hampers, cut off a piece of the mesh, soak it in some black paint, and sort of use it like a stamp on the eyes.
Pics of the costume in the comics:

Here's a pic of the basket:

Should cost me about 60 dollars in all. Fast cheap and easy. Perfect for comic con next year.

Way ahead of you. I love therpf.

Me too! I'm new there, but i'll never ever leave it! I can't believe the talent that exists out there - when people said, "there's no way Peter Parker made his costume, that's so unbelievable" etc, that site proved them wrong :D

Oh and when you're done with the costume, I need to see a pic!

Definately. I mean, if he's already smart enough to create his own webshooters, he can make a decent costume with 200-300 bucks, which he could make off his photos. Oh, and if anyone is deliberating how possible it would be to make webshooters at his age, we definately aren't as smart as him, but we're doing not too bad in that department as well.
