The Tom Hardy Venom , Miles Morales, and Spider Slayers rumors sound like bs to me , but we'll see.

Honestly the Miles thing doesn't sound out of bounds for Marvel. i mean if you have 3 white spider-man, course they are gonna say we need a spider-man of color and probably a spiderwomen too. its just politically correct from a selling stand point

Oh, I think there will eventually be a Miles Morales on film.
That day is coming .

I just think its bs that he's be cast already and will appear in SM3.

I’m a little surprised people like Tomei, Zendaya, and Batalon have much to film without Holland, though I guess it makes a little more sense if he’s a fugitive on the run or hiding after the cliffhanger in FFH.

I never found Smythe and the Spider-Slayers all that interesting, but we'll see how this goes.

I was thinking recently about how JJJ in the comics was also partly responsible for Scorpion. Funny that the spider-slayers rumour comes about. It would be interesting to see both the slayers and Scorpion in the same movie tbh.

Not sure that would balance well with some multi-verse fallout from Strange 2 though unless they were just cameos setting up a Sinister Six film.

JJJ is not in that right position to want Spider-man that badly. let alone to get a prisoner and do whatever to him to get Spider-man. infact the FFH cameo is the only presence he has had in the MCU.

Oh i wouldn't rule him out in SM3

We'll See.

I'm skeptical we'll see him that soon , but I've learned to never say never with regards to Hollywood.

So ,while I think that particular rumor may be bunk, I won't make a declaration that he won't be in the film in some capacity.

Anything is possible at this point.

All this about multiverse being a thing in superhero films is going to crazy levels.

There was recently a rumour that Nicholas Cage could finally play his (and Burton's) Superman in Flashpoint.
Keaton and Affleck are both already confirmed to dress up as a bat again.
But Cage is the rumour, and that old Superman project was never finished.

There is also a rumour that Tom Cruise could cameo as "another" Tony Stark in Dr Strange and The Multiverse of Madness (this only because he's a big star that was once long ago mentioned for the role, years before Downey jr was cast).

Could all of this open up for even including James Cameron's version of Spider-Man?
Will DiCaprio agree to don the Spider suit for a cameo? Will he actually do that?
Probably not.
But if it will be rumoured soon, maybe that excitement will be enough. And it doesn't really need to be go beyond being a rumour.

The cinematic future IS going to be about a multiverse of madness. Both for MCU and DCU.
LOL.

But bring it on. I'm ready for a total madness :applaud

Is anyone else excited that we really don't have any idea what direction the movie is gonna go in? Every bit of news we've had has been sort of a curveball. Electro coming back, Strange being a part of it, the possibility of the Spider-Slayers appearing and maybe a Multiverse and/or Spider-Verse. There's so many ways it could turn out, I'm really pumped.

These studios are changing the paradigm and going beyond the standard one and done, isolated universe , Superhero film model of the past 40 odd years.

Not saying that model is gone, but that now there's a new model which isn't bound to the same rules that the other model had.

You now have the concept of synergy between previous film and tv versions of characters and current film and tv versions of characters.

I think CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths , in particular, can be seen in retrospect, as sort of a sign post for the direction that the studios could take with these properties in particular. Regardless of what fans may think of that crossover, it was a signal to bigger plans moving forward.

That crossover officially broke down the barrier between past film and tv versions of characters and current film and tv versions of DC characters and said " They all coexist, and they're all canon". That was a big deal in the genre.

Marvel and Sony also appear to be taking that giant step in expanding the scope of the Marvel film canon beyond the films from 2008 to today.

It is something new, and it will be interesting to see if the three studios, WB, Disney, Sony, will be able to pull it off successfully.

I know there are fans who are resistant to this type of change and approach, but I find it very exciting and filled with alot of new story telling possibilities.

I think this is a fantastic new development. Everyone in my theater whooped with joy when J.K. Simmons appeared in Far from Home. Imagine that reaction if we get Tobey Maguire or Willem Dafoe or Alfred Molina or Kirsten Dunst to return? Hell, even Thomas Haden Church.

I really want to see this now. The original Spider-man back after all these years looking older and handing out solid advice to the new guy.

Definitely more interested in seeing an alternate version of Spiddy (Tobey of course) in Multiverse, like it has been rumored for other Avengers.

I don't know. We haven't seen the backstory or motivations for this JJJ yet. Depends what his role is. If Smythe and the spider-slayers are involved then you could maybe have him pull strings to get Gargan out and start working for Jonah Or you could already have Gargan out of jail and working for Jonah as a investigator then have him meet Smythe.
