I mean it's a smart idea because it retroactively expands the scope of Sony's Spidey films and fits them all into one big package, it also ties them all to the MCU which is a popular thing to want (plus they're already trying to do that with Venom and Morbius).Hear me out.
I wonder if Electro's casting is just the start of it?
Sony might be using Marvel's multi-verse saga to to effectively "customize" their dream Spider-Man franchise?
They can have their cake and eat it. Take the same actors and characteristics from popular aspects of previous iterations and put it into MCU Spidey while also connecting it to Venom etc.
Exactly. When I say retroactively expand the scope of Sony's Spidey movies I'm talking the Raimi and Webb movies being fitted into part of the whole current picture. Then Sony can be all "look they were MCU too lol. Multiverse!!!"The Vulture is already in Morbius.
Anyone else think the reason we still don't have Kraven as a main Spider-Man movie villain is that they're saving him for his solo film?
Hear me out.

I don't really expect the multiverse to end anytime soon. It's too big a concept to close the door on IMO.
See, I don't think they have to even do that. They already can do this without some convoluted Spiderverse film. The Bond franchise had Judi Dench play M for Pierce Brosnan, and then continue the role for Daniel Craig in a rebooted version of the series. No multiverse spanning Bond film was needed. You want Dafoe as Norman back? Cast him. Same for anyone else you want back.
I thought the mentor angle was better in FFH. I don't think it will go overboard here. Seems like with all that's going on, it won't be Stark heavy.

Maybe MCU Uncle Ben had a goatee and that's why MCU Peter loves hanging around men with goatees. It seems like the only qualifications needed to be Peter's mentor in the MCU is if you were previously a rich and arrogant genius, with a goatee to go with it.
I guess that's why Uncle Ben doesn't meet the criteria in this universe.![]()

I wouldn't put it past Sony's wheelhouse. Toomes is already in Morbius so that's a start.Hear me out.

Guys ... The Raimi trilogy is arguably my favourite trilogy of all time, alongside the Indiana Jones trilogy.
I will prodably have a heart attack if I ever see Tobey's Spider-Man on screen ... the idea that he may have a cameo is killing me of pure excitiment. Heck, even if he is a 1-second cameo, I really can't wait to know if he is in it or not. I want to know ... NOW!
If I hear even a snippet of this again, I mean, I won't be able to contain myself.
He has the potential to be an amazing Peter Parker/Spider-Man, but I still feel the stuff he's given undermines him. That's been my major problem with Homecoming and Far From Home, that they aren't letting him grow up a whole lot or tackling Spider-Man's tribulations and angst as much as they should.Sometimes I can't help but wonder if Tom Holland is ever disappointed with some of his own material.

I think the best portrayal's of Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man have been Civil War and Infinity War, because at least in those it seemed like the Russo's were able to balance both the wise cracking qualities of the character as well as his hero qualities. Yeah the Spider-Sense thing was weirdly inconsistent at times, but he never felt more like Spider-Man IMO and instead of progressing from that they for some reason decide to take five steps back with the character in his own movies which has always bothered me and I'm someone who really enjoyed Homecoming.
