Well i'm very much down for the idea. I've been picturing in my head scenes of Garfield, Holland and Maguire interacting and bantering and fighting along side each other and I think if done correctly, could be cinematic gold. Maguire's Peter would be the wiser older brother and Garfield and Holland would be the younger more rambunctious Peters. I think the personalities between all three are different enough where they all could learn something from each other and make for some great interactions.

Part of me would love to see Garfield back, but I'm not a big fan of the multiverse idea in live action nor would I want freaking Jon Watts being the one to direct it.

I may not have been the biggest fan of the TASM movies, but seeing Garfield interact with Holland would be pure gold, especially since I did think he was really good as Spider-Man. Holland's Peter Parker could definitely learn some things from both Maguire and Garfield and I can see all three of them also having great chemistry with each other. I'm way more excited to see Maguire return though just to see what his Peter Parker/Spider-Man has been up to after all these years.

I do not buy it tbh. I ain't sure how from an audience investment and structural stand point they could make skipping around work.

But what a world we live in where even the thought of going back to previous franchises is a thing. This was once a ridiculous notion.

I hope Sony finally confirms or denies these Tobey/Garfield SM 3 rumors this week. Better to put it to bed now before everyone gets hyped up over nothing.

I think studios are learning the best way to please fans is instead of having one version replace another, just have them co-exist with each other. General audiences will become re-familiar with the previous iterations in Spider-Verse, of course if that happens. And if that goes well, I'm sure it would in a big way, they'll go from there.

Definitely agree on the latter. I've suggested this before, but if this is indeed an eventuality, get either Sam Raimi or Phil Lord and Chris Miller to direct it. They understand the character far better.

And I'll say this, at least you're not like the folks over at the MCU subreddit that blow up at the idea in threads sharing fan-art of it.

Maaaan, if we get a real Sam Raimi Spider-Man 4 movie, I will DIEEE!!!
Let's not get our hopes unreachably high now. :funny:

Just seeing Tobey Maguire back in any shape or form would be enough for me, which is I think it would be best if he did return in a Spider-Verse movie. Same with Garfield. Give them both an official conclusive end.

I will kiss Sony's feet.

Seriously, if Keaton and Affleck's Batman can co-exist on-screen at the same time as Pattinson so can Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man with Holland.

I want to be honest. With animation spider universe, Tom Holland in live action, Sony droping random spin offs with spiderman (Spider-Gwen, Spider-Women, possibly Miles) and now more single movies for Andy & Toby it would be a massive overkill for me.
I love spidy but that is just too much of the same in too many places the same time..

Wasnt there a discussion why a spiderman movie is no longer an event like in the 00s few days ago? Here is the answer.

Who said there was going to be solo continuations for Maguire and Garfield?

Depending on audience reaction and box office, I can see Sony doing another Raimi Spider-Man and ASM. If they've done Venom and Morbius a and they are trying to do Kraven The Hunter, having multiple live action Spider-Man is hardly far fetched.

They’re really trying to make fetch happen with this multiverse angle. Across the board.

I think thats more of an old fashion view that will be proven wrong after Wandavision, Maybe SM3 and Dr Strange. i don't think the reception to Electro means anything for them bringing the character back.

One thing you do not need is Jamie Foxx star power for SM3. you didn't need it for FFH. you don't need it for a SM3. even more so if they end up getting loads more actors in too.
See it from a different point of view. WHY Electro? He wasn't treated especially great. So why is he coming back?

Regarding star power in MCU. It isn't needed but they still get a lot of famous actors.
In FFH, as you mention, they actually picked Jake Gyllenhaal. Why did they cast him if they can do fine without star power?

OOOOOOH. That's too good to be true.
Imagine seeing either Tobey or Andrew in an Avengers film.
That would be so heavy.

Later, we need to get some rumours about Eric Bana's Hulk too. Because he also exists in the multiverse

Having Sam Raimi return for a Spider-Man 4 with Tobey would not only be a dream come true, but something I could never imagine. Please please please let this happen. Also, just remember...

Who knows what could happen. If Raimi sends Multiverse of Madness into orbit Sony/Feige might be willing to listen to requests. Obviously it’s not likely as of now but the last year has already thrown up a lot of big surprises.

Eh the amount of rumors coming out about this movie are getting to be a bit much at this point. It seems like after the news broke out about Jaime Foxx returning, everyone and their mother has a scoop on something and they can't all be right. I highly doubt we're gonna get a Tobey SM4 or a Andrew ASM 3 and I'm still not entirely convinced we're gonna get the multiverse/Spider-Verse in this movie either (at least as a focal point anyway).

Unless it's coming from Deadline, Variety, or THR, I'm gonna remain pretty skeptical.

true. At this point it's a wait and see.

Personally, I'd trust DanielRPK more than Grace Randolph or that Signore guy, but in general it's best to approach this with a grain of salt of course. Daniel doesn't have a perfect track record either.

The speculation could be Miles is from Tobey's universe because he's the oldest Peter (unless they want to add Nicholas Hammond, which would be fun:hehe:). But then again Miles was referenced by Aaron Davis in HC.
Give me Hammond !!!
