TBH, I don't blame that video creator or those who are cautious about this too much. The reason being, most people that'll visit a comic based site for info on games like this aren't typically hardcore gamers. They just don't have a good understanding of how the industry works. They see another Spider-Man game and immediately compare it to what came before without taking in to consideration budget, dev time, studio, publisher etc.
An Activision published Spider-Man game, developed by a B list studio with absolute minimal budget nor concern for quality is going to be night and day different than a Sony published Spider-Man game, developed by an A list developer with a larger budget and a MUCH higher focus on quality.
I keep telling people that Insomniac will do for Spidey what Rocksteady did for Batman. Batman was a joke in the video game community before Arkham Asylum, now, he's a game of the year contender. Assuming Insomniac has the same care and love for the character that Rocksteady did, Spidey is in more than capable hands.
