Yes, i saw that too. I deleted his name from the members list again after i saw his name on today's game list, but for some reason it kept him on the daily list of scores. He should not be able to qualify for the daily winner because he's not listed on the "members" list. I won't know if it will work until midnight comes, and the daily winners are updated.

He played again this morning. And again i removed his name from the database.

This time i banned his IP range, which means that at least one person on this board will not be able to play now because of it because they are also within the banned IP range. Please accept my appologies for this, but that person has left me no choice when it comes to making this a fair and honest game.

It's funny, I get those who love it, and then those who send me meassages who appear to be slowly going postal about it,

This trivia thingy is similar to when I was taking the CPA exam, but with the added frustration of having a couple butcher, baker, and candlestick maker questions thrown in,

Been playing since late June and seen that dam bus question maybe 3 times already and still don'y know the anser to it

7/10... which is better than I thought I was gong to do because I guessed at more than one. I just need to go faster.

I think some of you all must KNOW the answers from seeing them before... I just don't see how anyone can read AND answer questions in less than 60 seconds.

I can see 45+ ... but only after you've played the games more often.

My first week had times of around 80 seconds, but as I've played 40+ games in a row, I've cut my average time down to 50 or 60 seconds... I played one game at the end of June that took 127 seconds yet yesterday's time was clocked in at 49 seconds. Depending on the questions (and your ability to remember the answers, as they tend to repeat themselves once in a while), you can get your time down.

The problem with comicmonkey was during his first game, he took a long time, and got just few right. From that point on, he started getting perfect scores in less time that it would take a professional reader to read the question and answer all questions correctly. So strange that someone who did so badly could come back every day and win in such a short amount of time.

The first couple of times i thought "gee, what a lucky guesser"....then when it began to happen on a daily basis, i began watching the IP. Then when the IP started being very similar to another couple of members who routinely either played, or did not complete the game, i began to watch closer. I then researched each IP, and found them to all be dynamic IP addresses, from the same provider, which would change once a reboot or a web connection was disconnected. After a week of this activity, i knew for sure the person was only getting perfect scores in shorter times than it would take a speed-reader each game because they used another ID to aid them in their answers.

When the ID "Hello" started doing the same thing, it was time to put my foot down.

Its no fun playing with people who feel the need to cheat in order to get as many points as they can.

I've used the "shout out" to inform the person that he's not welcome in the game. Hopefully he'll be adult enough to simply walk away.

When i banned all the IP's in his network, it also banned MJD (a member of this board). Hopefully MJD will see this thread and know what happened. There may be others who are effected by this as well. After a few days, then i will lift the ban, because i really don't like the idea of banning the innocent because of one bad tomato. As for the message in the shout-out -- no, woody_woodpecker's IP was not included in the banned IP's...unless he changed his IP since he last played to one within the RIPE network bans.
