Comics Spidey Book Sales (ASM +)

I don't think it will be long before those numbers reach under 100k, just with the price of comics it's making it impossible for people to buy these things, and now with you being able to get these on torrent sites, they need to do something

Plus you've got a lot of comic readers just buying the hardcovers and trade paper backs. I was listening to Bendis on wordballoon last night and he was talking about how Marvel's hardcover and trade sales have been huge.

I'm still waiting for them to further work out the kinks with digital comics. I've heard of a recent comic reader where they are letting you view the comic pages without the word balloons if you wish. That sounds so freakin' awesome. I think within the next five years digital comics will be a very big thing.

Well, sales have officially gone up one copy per issue, as I am now buying every issue.

Still, it's good to see that, as the quality has hit the point where I would buy it again, that everyone else seems to be doing so as well!

I wasn't really paying attention to what you were trying to say, and I actually looked to see if the number went up by 1. I guess I have to go back to my special classes....

HA! That would have made me special ifthe number had only gone up by 1. I would have been the sole reason behind the increase!

Back to the short bus with us!! (which, ironically, my wife is licensed to drive)

I only buy comics when they are hard covers I dont really like spending 3.99 on a single comic.

Aloha,
Slott came through as we the fans knew he would.
Spidey rules

Maybe with a bunch of shiny #1's... then they will all fall back into place once the #3's come out...lol

:yay:

I'm surprised detective comics isn't on any of those lists. I thought that was DC's flagship title.

June's rankings... no numbers yet... both ASM's make the Top Ten...

Books in bold regularly feature Spider-Man... :word:

1 ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #160

2 FEAR ITSELF #3

3 FLASHPOINT #2

4 AVENGERS #14

5 FF #5

6 NEW AVENGERS #13

7 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #663

8 BATMAN INCORPORATED #7

9 BATMAN AND ROBIN #24

10 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #664

Wow...USM #160 KILLED IT (pun intended) last month!

Come fall, DC is going to pound Marvel into the ground.

Flashpoint was supposed to do that, as well. Didn't happen.

Honestly, I suspect we'll see Batman and Superman #1's in the top couple of spots, with little else changing. I honestly don't read much DC for just this reason: REBOOT. They are all too fond of it. I LOVE the characters, but I'd rather watch Batman Begins that try to figrue out why there ARE 30 Batmen, why Superman is walking across the US, and who Flash is nowadays.

Hopefully, THIS reboot will do what the last 5 were supposed to do.

Even if it does, they can't keep up with Marvel when it comes to continuity. They've had a shared universe from day one. That goes for movies, too, now!
