my number one superhero scene ever (and it doesn't even have a superhero in the scene)
SM-3
the sandman thas been reduced to sand but the way he pulls himself together, the stuggle to regain his form being driven on by the memory of his daughter (the locket) that was just...beautiful and the music...ohhh!
people can pine about elfman but could he have written an emotional piece as power packed as that.
favorite superhero scene EVAR!
my other favorite scenes (no perticular order)
superman 1
superman holding the 'dead' lois from the afternoon till night (well that what it looks like) put her down as tenderly as a baby, screams and then flys into space, alright what follows is absolutey RIDICULOUS but the moments leading up making the world go backwards/time travel are superhero movie gold
superman 2
supes has lost his powers, begs his dad for help (FATHER!!) the three kryptonians have taken other the world and have stromed the daily planet to collect LL, there is a gust of wind and a red and blue blur, next shot supes outside the window 'general, will you care to step outside'.
if you didn't think 'YES!! FINALLY!!!' check your wrist to see if you have a pulse. singer completely misses the point with a ROCK for a villian.
spider-man
peter has just beaten the C**P out of the high school bully runs into an alley, there is a shot of a spider in a web above him, you can tell by his expression he is thinking, 'could it be, NAWWWW, maybe...WHAT IF...'
looks at his hand and then plants it on the wall BOOM!... (next hand) BOOM!...then he is climping the freaking wall!!! the look on peter's face (YES!!!!!) as a spidey fan that has waited for the movie for FOREVER I felt like CRYING.
spider-man 2
the clock tower/train sequence. simply put the greatest superhero action sequnce commited to film. the car chase in BB is exciting, the plane sequence in SR is rivitering (shame all that was rivetering) but for sheer intensity nothing comes CLOSE because you feel empathy for peter for the doc and for the passengers on the train the fight actally MEANS something. will this scene ever be topped, heck I DOUBT it.
best of the rest
batman begins
batman scared of bats WTF?!! but iworks brilliantly.
trumatised as a kids by a swarm of bats ruce explores the same caves he fell into decades earlier the bats swarm again fear brings him to his knees then slowly he raises to his feet...bruce wayne is gone and batman is born. that was AWESOME!!!
superman returns
I'll be honest I didn't really enjoy this movie and I hated his outfit but BOY singer knockes it out of the park with this one. the tension and drame as superman battles a plane with hundreds of lives at stake if I'd have known what the rest of the movie was going to be like I would have got up and left the cinema, it peaks right there the rest of the movie goes down hill FAST
X2
nightcrawler v the president. best opening sequence ever? quite possibly.
batman begins
in the movies they always hint that batman is a thug that he interrorgates to get info but nolan finally shows it. and BOY does he show it. the proceeding scene with the commish is so low key 'he'll talk to me...' in that soft rasping voice of his next scene
'WHERE WERE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING!!!!'
bloody HECK!

that was actually scary you could TOTALLY see how a bent cop would spill his guts to him.
X2
'I thought you were unique...I was wrong'
wolve v lady deathstrike. brutal. that was freaking awesome about ten million times more savage than wolve v sabretooth the fight most x-men fans were looking forward to
SM3
spidey kills venom.
awesome because spidey works how he is going to take out venom and then in a blur of speedy and agility he creates the cage and blows him up. fantastic.
