Now in the comics the Marvel heroes get sent up to space to fight each other as a test ran by The Beyonder. Secret Wars. This is where Spider-Man finds the alien Symbiote that becomes his famous black suit giving him extra powers.

In Infinity War which will undoubtedly take place in space at some point and Spider-Man is highly likely to be in it, this would be a perfect excuse to set up the Symbiote Spidey storyline no? It's close to the comics and happens in space and it will differentiate from the Raimi movies where it just randomly dropped from space right next to Peter for no reason whatsoever.

How cool would this be? But is it likely? If people are worried about it taking up too much time, it only has to be a short 1 or 2 minute scene, and it doesn't even need to take over him he could just take a bit of the Symbiote back to earth without realising, it just gets on him.

If people are thinking he'd be too young, I doubt it, Peter was roughly in his early 20's I believe when this happened in the comics right? In the MCU/Sony verse he'd be 18, if he's 15 in Civil War, good enough.

I'd rather not. They should steer clear of rehashing plots and villains done by the previous Spider-Man movies as long as possible.

It was already a mistake for Sony to try and do another effing Harry Osborn/Green Goblin tale so soon.

By the time we see Venom on screen again, it would've been well over 15 years since Spider-Man 3's Venom.

And I'm not even talking about Venom appearing in the Spidey sequel, Spider-Man can just wear the symbiotic suit in the 2020 Sequel (I'm guessing that's when it would be) and then in his 3rd film they can do Venom right this time. There's no way Venom and the sybiote won't be used by the time phase 4 comes around, Sony love Venom too much and you need the Symbiote for Venom, what better way and different way I might add, to introduce the symbiote than in Spidey's adventures in space? Probably the only time he'll ever venture to space in the MCU for a very long time.

exactly - thankfully Marvel has said they want to give screen time to villains who have not been used so lets hope Venom is way down the list...
