Oh ok I think I will try 25 for CPU coverage and int. I don't want to up my qb to much has I already hear a lot of people have it much lower then like 25 and I fell like at 50 my passes are good enough I just don't see guys getting open a lot. I think part of it is that like I said I have alrease been kind of between pro and all pro and I think this year like you said plays more realistic and because of that it is going to take a few extra games to get used to.

Yea, hit practice mode if ya need to, experiment with different routes. Generally by this time in previous Maddens, iv already found that "win" route. The route that works almost every time, but with this years game, im just not seeing that. You really do need to pay attention to what the defense is doing to create that mismatch, or just hope your WR's are better than the opposing teams secondary.

I cannot speak for FIFA as I don't play it. I did play the most recent Tiger Woods and that was an effin mess. Slow load times, terrible swing control system, game constantly crashed.

I can speak for FIFA. FIFA is the only EA Sports series that actually is consistently well done year after year. It's funny considering that for most of FIFA's history (up until 09) it was crap until EA realized "Well, s**t. We can actually make a lot of money off soccer games".

With that said, I think FIFA is best to be bought every 2 years, the changes between 09 and 10, 11 and 12, and 13 and 14, are minimal.

Thats just about how it is with most sports games. Madden took a big leap forward this season, Im almost certain next years game will be little more than a roster update.

I guess. FIFA is the only one I buy year to year. I haven't bought back to back 2K basketball games since 2K4 and 2K5, and I just switched from 360 to PS4 so MLB 14 will be the first MLB I play.

I haven't bought Madden since 07.

The only sports title i buy year to year is NBA 2K and even that game doesnt show that great a leap year over year. Its about every 2 years when you see a bigger leap.

Yeah I agree you don't normaly see big improvements form 1 year to the next in sports. The only games I can think of that improved a lot form one year to the next is nba live to nba live 10 and madden 09-10. Mlb the show is such a great game though that even if it doesn't improve a lot in 1 year it is hard for me to not get it ever year has it is already great and gets some what better ever year plus now you can cary over your franchise mode to the next game. I think I am going to try to skip years more often now has I am older and so money is a bigger thing now and by going ever 2 years or even 3 you get to see a big improvement and it gives you more time to go deeper into franchise mode. Even graphic wise you usly only see a big difference when you go form the last year on a old system to the first year on a new system like form nba 2k13 ps3 to nba 2k14 on ps4. But I don't think mlb the show had much of a jump in graphics form mlb 13 ps3 to mlb 14 the show ps4 so I think mlb 15 is going to be a big jump in graphics.

I'd say that's a more fair cycle. After making so many changes in one year, with only another 12 month turnaround make one with a few changes while working on a long term version that will see release 2 years from now.

I have never found cretian playes that tend to alrease work but yeah I think this year because the CPU acts more realistic it is more important to know how to tell if the CPU is playing cover 2, 3 ect and what beats it. I may have to spend more time in traning to try to get to where I can read those but yeah its a lot to take in and try to remember. Last game I played I looked at replays a few times to see if I missed open guys some times and should have maybe passed the ball to some one different.

I'd say if anything, we've been witness the slow death of arcade sports games. There's no NBA Street, no NFL Blitz, no SSX (yet). Hell, we haven't really heard anything about arcade racing games yet.

I would say EA should resurrect EA Sports BIG, but considering they can't get any of their non FIFA sports games right, I don't know how successful their non mainstream sports games would be.

Nhl hits was the first game I got on GameCube back in the day and I used to love tony hawk but underground was when they started to get worse but they where still really good but then when American wasteland came out they started to get much much worse and now the last sever have sucked. I really wish we could get a great tony hawk game on ps4. Heck if we could get a tony hawk collection of tony hawk pro skater 1, 2, 3 and under ground 1, 2 and American wast land in HD on ps4 that would even be pretty cool thing.

I do that ALL the time. And i make a mental note next time I call that play.

To be really honest, you don't have to worry so much as to what he defense is doing rather than what each route your recovers are doing. I mean I don't figure out what scheme the D is in every time i come up to the line, but I do try and figure out what each route my WRs are going to run will do with the current defense. I try and know what to look for before I snap the ball. So if I have one WR running a drag and another WR next to him running a hook, i know that the DB can only cover one of those players, so as soon as the ball is snapped, Ill watch and see what the DB does and that'll tell me where to go with the ball.

At the same time when I foce a pass and then look at the replay and see I missed a opeing guy it pisses me of lol. While like last game I had a play where I hot ruted one of my WR to a sterk thinking that no one was going to be on him and that the DB was not playing him and it truned out he droped back into coverage and was right there with my WR. I would have been better off if I had called curl route has the DB was off of him by a few Yards it would have been a easy catch if I did that.

Hah yea I hate that. Watching a replay and seeing you had a dude WIDE open somewhere else.

But further proof that you CAN successfully pass in this game, my last game stats, playing against the Bears:

22 of 29 with 260 yards and 6 TD's and 0 int's. Now granted one of those was set up by an INT from my defense that put me at the 5 yd line and 2 others were screen passes that were then run in for TD's, the other 3 were about 10-15 yard passes.

I haven't had too much issues throwing the ball, but my run game has been pretty non existent. Iv yet to have a 100 yard rusher in 4 games in my season mode. Iv gone over 100 yards total, rotating 3 backs, but none have gone for 100 themselves. Iv been averaging about 3 yards a carry per back. Sometimes its just me not seeing the hole, but others it looks like my lead blocker just completely whiffs on an easy block.

Nice sounds like a heck of a game and yeah I didn't have last years game so being that the controls are different for running I have to get better at it my self.
