So if gay means homosexual and you're saying that it's not the kind of gay you are, then you're kind of saying it's not the kind of homosexual you are. How many types of homosexuals are there? I mean, you'd think it would be more straightforward (gayforward???) than that. Why does everything have to be so complicated.

Its just like the word *** or ******. I don't call someone that to mean they are a homosexual. I say it as substitute for the words sissy or wuss. So if I say "That didn't hurt you ***" its because they're being a punk ass sissy.

I just think it's funny when men who like men get mad at people for saying things like gay, queer, etc, that they then go around and use it themselves. i'm not saying you're exactly doing that spideyboy, cause i'm sure you don't really care. but you mentioned it, and i'm sure you know what i'm talking about.

gay, queer, etc is kind of like the word ******ed. that's used to describe dumb***es and stupid people, but obivously means something else as well. I actually do my best not to use that word out of contect b/c i feel like it has much more potential of being offensive than anything other word like that. I was with a friend that called me ******ed as we were walking out of a building right as we passed a family with a disabled kid. My friend didn't realize it, but i'm sure they hurt the family of that kid.

its about who says it though... and the context... if you are the minority and use it jokingly its fine by that minority group... its a way of playing the word and turning it around into something that loses it degridation. when a strait person says ***... its 99.9% of the time in a degrading way, joking or not... and when said to a gay guy.. from a strait person.. its VERY degrading

yeah i see what you mean, but still. If you guys use the word *** with each other, and someone who is striaght uses it to describe you, they may have heard another non-stragiht person say it to you and think it's ok. I just think it's unfair for you to use a word that you don't expect others to use. Or at least to get offended by it. It's kind of dumb. And if the word still offends the person that uses it, then it doesn't really lose it's meaning after all.
