Comics Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man

Have you checked out the current volume of Captain America? I think Brubaker has sucessfully captured the feel the book had in the late sixties, yet retains a modern vibe as well, imo...

And yes; DEFINITELY invest in purchasing a few back issues to get caught up on The Hulk. You only need eight issues, beginning with #92...

I also recommend Fantastic Four, Particularly issues #533 through #535 for a CLASSIC confirmation of Ben & Johnny's friendship.
After reading Daredevil, I'm really considering Captain America. I think Brubaker's one of the best Marvel's got.

Marvel actually has a bunch of really good titles at the moment. Runaways, Daredevil, Captain America, Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Factor...all damn good, IMO.

Brubaker also writes Uncanny, if you didn't know.

EDIT: Oh, oh...Moon Knight's pretty sweet too.

Yeah. That's one of those series that've been consistantly good since issue #1.

X-factor and Captain America are sick right at the moment, just consistantly good. Which is funny, as I was never a big fan of any of the characters in the book

Cap, do you enjoy the X-Men? If you do, I would highly recommend Astonishing to you, or to anyone else for that matter.

No, i havent picked it up. I hear good things about it though. I've heard it compared to the Claremont/Byrne era, by fans and media alike...

My comic shop has a big sale every Thanksgiving Weekend, so im seriously considering picking up all the back issues....

I hear Beast kicked Wolverine's ass. True?

I'm not sure if he has in previous arcs, but the time he did in this arc was flippin hilarious! I can't really elaborate on it without spoiling part of the story though. :csad:

You haven't read the first two AXM arcs? Dude, you gotta. They're even better than this current one.

Yeah, but I plan to. They're somewhere in the middle of my ever-growing list of trades I plan to buy.

Consider?! You should have already gotten the trades by now and have been joining in the awesomeness that is Captain F'n America. :wow:

Brubaker is definitely doing great things with both Daredevil and Captain America. I bought Winter Soldier HC Vol.'s 1 & 2 and they got me hooked on his run. Anyone that hasn't already picked up his back issues should definitely do so.

AXM is also a must if you like X-Men, Whedon has written the best X-Men stories in quite some time.

"I'm the best there is at what I do, though what I do.....is oh so pretty!" LMAO!

"Oh Miss Nova, please do say mine is the best or I shall be cross all day!"

They tussled a little bit in one of the early issues. Beautifully rendered by Cassaday.

Anyway, I don't think there was an actual "winner," but I could be mistaken.

You haven't read the last arc have you?

I wouldn't say they faught there; it was more Beast trying to kill Wolverine, and Wolverine running away as fast as he possibly could.

Oh, THAT fight.

I was thinking of their tussle over the cure early in the series.

I thought Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man was truly a great issue. It's actually nice to read a Spider-Man comic that isn't soley centered on Civil War for once even though I am enjoying Civil War.

Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man was a good read though. I picked it up the week following its release after hearing some good things. Classic light-hearted Spidey fare. Definitely worth the pick up.

Of course he ran away. The moose had his scent.
