So before I get the "wtf this game came out 12 years ago" schtick, I know.
But i recently installed this on my windows vista, and it installed fine and everything, except I hit a white screen for the foreground/background as I start a race. Does anyone know of patches or anything to fix it?

Try right clicking the EXE, going into properties and clicking compatibility mode.

Have you tried every mod? 98? Windows XP Service Pack 2?
I was looking at another forum and apparently there is a patch but I don't want to link it incase it's a virus.

And then put it in the directory game.

I think it's only for ati graphic cards and new driver no longer support something ... and it seems to be the same for Nvidia.
(If you have Nvidia maybe you should find a old driver, i don't really know).

If you have issue while saving progress, try the compatibility mode with xp sp3.
I also read that we should create a new profil in the game (don't use the one named "anakin" or just recreate it).
