Star Wars : Legacy

I read the first issue. While very good, it was really nothing but set-up, which is OK. They're creating an entire new galaxy with a hundred years of history we don't know yet. I expected a couple issues of set up.

The story was pretty exciting so far and there've already been a couple twists, which is always good.

Yeah, I agree. As far as set-up issues go, it was pretty decent. Starting to get a good look at the new Sith Order and the next line of Skywalkers (whether Cade will take after Luke or Anakin remains to be seen).

Looks like the new Empire won't be as friendly as once thought now that Darth Krayt has proclaimed himself Emperor. Looks like another civil war is shaping up though since he was unable to kill former Emperor Fel. Well, the real Fel that is.

All in all, it was a pretty good read. Definitely looking forward to reading what life in a galaxy far, far away a hundred years after the characters I know and grew up with are gone.

It was cool seeing Darth Talon get her title from Krayt. Can't wait to see her and Cade cross sabers. Speaking of Cade...I'm interested in discovering what he will do with the Jedi he captured? Will he turn him over to be tortured and killed by the Sith, or will the old Bothan be the one to help bring him back to the Order?

Bumping this up, because I'm trying to track down the first couple issue before 3 comes out next week. I've been looking for a good Star Wars comic book and I hear this one is pretty good.

I have #0 and it does seem to have a lot of good ideas. Although I must confess I have not really read much of the EU, so I'm not sure I understand how the Imperials seem to be in control again (unless again I'm somehow confused).

We don't know how the Imperials have come back into power yet. It hasn't been told. If you have the #0 issue you pretty much know everything that everyone else knows. This comic series is set far enough into the future that it's ties with the rest of the EU are pretty limited.

I'm pretty new to the EU as well, but it looks like DBM is right. As long as you have issue 0, you should be fine. I picked up 1 and 2 yesterday, and it's a great comic so far.

Anyone read #3? If not, I suggest you do. It's the best issue yet. There's a great appearance by an old favorite.
