Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

OMG wow that got me even more psyched then I was already. Thanks for posting!

Et tu, Grievous? :csad:
don't get me wrong the Wii's style I think was a good idea for gaming from the start. But if they Wii got alot of stuff the 360 didn't that would just seem wrong since it seems game makers can do more and add more with the 360 system.

So why do you think the Wii vrsion of this game, will not be as good?
it just seems the 360 can go more in gameplay and what not.

I'm not saying the Wii will be bad, I'm just saying I think the 360 will be better

I think the big draw to this game, is whats powering it. The Euphoria and DMM. I think this is really the first time that Euphoria has been used to this capacity(we saw it in GTA IV), as well as DMM. From the get go the guys at LA were really talking up the Euphoria and DMM, showing what it can do in the confines of the Star Wars universe. When this game drops, i think some of the first comments will be on those two new features and thats something the Wii cant produce, which is why some feel the Wii will be a subpar experience compared to the PS3 and 360.

The Wii is supposed to have Havok's own version of Euphoria or DDM(I don't remember which one). I mean of course, it's not going to be as good, but it will still be there.

Well yea, they are gonna have something to power the game, but its not Euphoria or DMM. The physics you see on the Wii wont in any way resemble what you'll see on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

I read that Havok was creating a game engine for the Wii's TFU, that would imitate those physics.

The only thing that'll resemble Euphoria and DMM is Euphoria and DMM. I dont think the Wii dev team is going to even try to resemble those engines, they are doing their own thing with the motion controls and multiplayer. I mean like i said, something has to power the Wii's TFU, but it wont be comparable to what will be seen on the other consoles.

Late in the conversation, but for kicks (and for a free beta) I bought the first episode of Qore for the PS3. Amongst it was an indepth look at this game, and it amazed me. They show a boss fight, and have the developers talk about the game and the force powers, and I'm starting to look forward to this game as well where at first I planned to pick it up but didn't think of it as a must own.

Seeing Darth's apprentice pick up a Tie fighter, picking up one Storm Trooper and watching him grab another guy nearby, the force grab + lightsaber impale. The game is looking to shape up really nice.

I do have one question tho if anyone can answer. Is this free reign control like Battlefront 2 Jedi control? Or is this going to be more RPGish like KOTOR? Not that eithers bad, but I think I'd enjoy BF2 controls better.

Well, if ur asking if its gonna be that dreadful turn based garbage, then no, its deff not. From what i can tell, I'm thinking the combat will be closer to a God of War type ordeal with different combos and what-not.

So I don't know if you guys have heard or not but apparently (according to G4) Lucasarts is backing out of E3 stating that there is to much "noise" at the convention. Obviously they are not talking about sound but rather they are talking about how there is just to much going on at the convention and that it must be a hassle to get anything presented and such. So no TFU at E3

I doubt that. It's a convention - what the hell do they expect??!!

I think they only said no new Star Wars game announcements at E3, but I could be wrong. I don't really remember.

Wow that sucks.:csad:Hope it doesn't hinder it to much.

Yea i know. I dont think it will too much, as id imagine at this point they are just polishing stuff off. I dont think they have too much more gameplay left to implement. However, they still do have to do alot of bug testing and bringing in some ppl who havent spent ANY time on the game could mean some bugs might slip through that otherwise wouldnt have.
