Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Luuuuuuuuuuuuke!!!!

VADER: OBI-WAN NEVER TOLD YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FATHER!!!

LUKE: HE TOLD ME ENOUGH, HE TOLD ME YOU KILLED HIM!!!

VADER: NO, I AM YOUR FATHER!!!

LUKE: NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, NOOOO!!!:D:up:

Looking forward to using the Obi-Wan skin and having a showdown with Vader.

Ok, sod it where the HELL are the sith robes? Is it the first time you go to Raxus Prime or the second?

And it just occured to me that when the DLC comes out you can have Luke Vs Vader at the end

You know, it's kinda stupid that the next-gen version is getting Luke and Obi-wan as DLCs, seeing how the last gen games already have them.

Yea but they look ugly, these will look pretty.

Yea, its in the first Raxxis Prime stage. Right after you defeat the Junk Titan and cross the junk chasam. Once you get across the chasam youll see like a big gorge behind some girders that are sticking up from the ground. Force push them, then youll be able to see the holocron. Youll need to do a little platforming but you shouldnt have a problem getting to it.

that star destroyer really pissed me off. i still cannot bring it down.

That was nothing more than a cutscene on the PS2 version. :(

really? no one's talking about the possibility of this becoming a movie?

It would be awesome if they made a movie out of it.

Actually, it has come up.

Ever since it was first revealed in 2006, gamers have been hearing about what a big deal The Force Unleashed is. At the 2008 Game Developers Conference, LucasArts lead designer Hayden Blackman billed the game as a seventh chapter in the Star Wars film saga, set between the third prequel, Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2006), and the first film, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Though reviews of the game haven't been totally positive, most critics agree its story is cinematic in its scope. It casts players as the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, dispatched by the Sith Lord to wipe out the few remaining Jedi, which survived the post-Clone Wars purge. Later events in the game further immerse the player into palace intrigue in the court of the Galactic Emperor Palpatine, himself a Sith Lord.

If such alternately action-packed and sinister events strike you as ready-made for the big screen, you're not alone. Speaking to LAT blogger Geoff Boucher, Blackman talked about his "daydream" of seeing the Force Unleashed turned into a motion picture.

"Oh, that would be incredible," the designer told the blogger. "And it's not impossible. Never say never. George [Lucas] has looked to tell new Star Wars stories through the games and with the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe, and then he has also shown a willingness to let the characters come into the films. Look at Aayla Secura, a creation in the [Dark Horse] comic books who became part of the theatrical films."

For his part, Boucher said a film is also a distinct possibility, opining that "Lucas is clearly pleased with this new entry to the broader Star Wars story, and I would not be surprised for a moment to see it on a theater marquee at a CG-animated project in the next few years, especially with the intensifying Hollywood interest in video games and toys as film properties."

I wouldnt expect anything in the near future, but if we were at some point to get news of this being turned to a film, i wouldnt be surprised.

Just beat the game. Fun as hell, some minor complaints though. Like camera views and this game is one of the glitchiest I have played in a long time. It froze on me three times and at least three times I collected holocrons and it didn't save it. So I had to go back and get them and even then the stupid Sith Robe it won't save.

Overall though really fun game and I am about to restart it again. The black light saber is sweet.

is therea level select on the PS2 after you beat the game or am i just missing it. If not i am kinda bumped, wanna fight vader again as Luke and I dont want to have to play all the way through

You can do so only if you saved your game at the last check point before vader and the emperor. I am going back to do the same thing right now to get the other sith costume.

Any else using cheats in this game? It's not because it's hard, but I used a cheat so I'll be able to deal massive damage with my Lightsaber, so it's a little more realistic.

It's really annoying beating on a lousy Storm Trooper with a Lightsaber and see him get back up.

yeah that does make sense but no I have not used any cheats....yet. So far just watched video walk throughs so I can get all holocrons and all costumes. Which I now have.

What a difference Vader was from novice to sith just one level up of difficulty.

Yep this game is alot of fun.I've beaten it twice so far My powers were maxed out so I started a new game on Sith Lord.I thought that you can start a new game with all of your powers maxed out and play the next difficulty but the game loops the same difficulty tou can't change it.I have the PS3 version.Anyone have any ideas?

BTW I love releasing the Wookies and watching them tear up the stormtroopers. That ****e is hilarious!!!:woot:

Are you sure? I will take a look at it and get back to you, I am pretty sure I started a new game and it gave me all of my powers. Then again, maybe not.

Yea i didn't "officially" start a new game. I just bumped the difficulty up then went to the level select, picked the first one then started my play through.

The TIEs are the trickiest part, you gotta get rid of them quickly. Zap them from the far left or right when they come real close.

Then it'll take 5-6 runs of this, on your first time through. I think it took me 4 waves of TIEs to bring it down yesterday, during my second time through the game.

It takes a while, heh.

Yeah I did it from the left side and would try to throw the one I would force grip into another. It probably took me four to five runs just to figure out the best strategy then another five or so to do it.

such an epic story/game...I LOVED it. I wish it was a bit longer but hey, it was a free rental so I'm not complaining :D
