It seems to me that this guy may not be good or bad...and in the end maybe turning on the darkside. Look at the trailer where the aprentice force pull's the Star Destroyer into the city, or where he mops the floor with dozens of storm troopers, or when he takes on a squadron of Tie Fighters on his own. No where in that trailer do they show him kicking Jedi Ass. I think he turns on Vader in the game, hence the cover of that book showing a fight between Vader and the Aprentice.

Thats kind of what I'm thinking. That maybe he turns at the end of the game to the light yet is still killed by Vader, i dont know. They say there is one "right ending" and some other alternates so who knows.

Wield the Remote as a Lightsaber next spring

LucasArts has revealed that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will is coming to Wii next spring and it'll allow you to wield the Wii Remote as a Lightsaber. Now that's what we're talking about.

You can wield the Wii Remote as a lightsaber while using the Nunchuk controller to torment others with Force powers.

The game's story is set during the era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope.

The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also feature an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends. Whether this is online remains to be seen, but we doubt it.

"Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console's motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life," said Jim Ward, President of LucasArts. "We've worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force."

There are also 2 new production diaries and a new documentary. One called "The Big Summer Push" talking about what LA did this summer working on The Force Unleashed and another one called "Casting and Capturing Captivating Performances" talking about the cast of the game.

god i just watched a little movie about this game. WOW this looks amazing.
does anyone know when gamestop will be taking preorders for this game. i just cant wait. it looks better than (dare i say) HALO 3

I'm sure they're not done yet. If you read the "The Big Summer Push" production diary (link available in my previous post) they say that one of the things they did this summer was improve the game in terms of visuals/graphics.
So these pics could either be from before the big summer push or after. I was thinking after cause the apprentice looks a lot better than he did in the trailer but either way, I'm sure they're not done, yet.

I want some saber combat info. I havent heard anything about yet. Im really hoping were not gonna get a plethora of force powers to make up for the weak saber combat.

You are referring to Jedi Academy right? Yea im sure itll be a better game overall but thats really not a good comparison.

Jedi Academy was a third-person game like this one. I was just saying, this one will be hopefully better with cooler moves and better graphics.

It's still too early. The game is beeing released in Q2 (April, May, June) 2008. IMO we won't get a demo until March, at the earliest.

I would probably say you get the normal dark side powers (force choke, lightning,crush.ect....)

I only preorder a game if you get something free. Ex. a poster

NOOOO nothing can beat Halo 3. Atleast not for a long time.
