Demo's out next month. It's going to be the Tie Fighter construction facility, you'll have more powers than you'll actually have at that point in the game and the level is going to have a different ending than that of the final game.

Before you guys get all excited. A guy at the Xbox forums saw that X-Play episode that's mentioned and he reported it days ago and he said that X-Play will have a first hand look at the demo this Thursday. They didn't say that the demo will be released on the 14th. Then there's the LucasArts PR guy at the LucasArts forums, who said that the demo won't be released this week.

I think they'll announce the release date of the demo during the X-Play episode and it'll be released next week.

Uhh, yea, thats kind of the point of a demo. If you dont like the demo, then chances are u wont like the game.

Sometimes the demo is just an unfinished version and they add to it before its fully released. Cant think of any examples but this has happend before. I remember playing the turok demo and hated it, but i heard the final version of the game was better.

When a demo is released this close to the game's release, then it shouldn't be any different. The only differences are going to be the available Force powers for that level, the ending of the level and the demo could have some bugs that'll probably get fixed for the final product.

This game really wasnt on my radar and I wasnt paying attention to any news regarding it but thats all changed thanks to SCIV. LucasArts made a very wise decision with its Star Wars cross promotion bc playing as The Apprentice in that game and watching the video preview made me take notice and I just may have to check it out now

A lot of people call me weird since I actually bought Turok because I liked the demo, rather than in spite of it. Personally though, I think it was large in part be cause A) it was Turok and B) it was an FPS that wasn't afraid to be colorful (a rare breed in the post-Gears of War age).

Two chances to see The Force Unleashed on TV this week!

That's right, not just one, but two opportunities to see previously-unseen gameplay footage and get new information about The Force Unleashed and the upcoming demo!

This Thursday, August 14th, X-Play on G4 reports direct from LucasArts and devotes an entire show to The Force Unleashed. Lots of new gameplay, some new revelations, and, perhaps more importantly, wall to wall Morgan Webb!

Then, this Friday, August 15th, GameTrailers TV on Spike has a big reveal about The Force Unleashed and even more new footage! Check it out at midnight and then at gametrailers.com!

I promise, by the end of this week, you'll know everything you need to know about the demo.

So, the release date of the demo will probably be revealed either Thursday or Friday. Hopefully they'll release it next week. I can't wait!

In the recently released game-footage the damage engine seems to be less "there" then the old videos. Metal doesnt dent or bend... it simply, disappears.
