Starfox Wii?!

I really hope this is true. I love Star Fox. Just put a Command like game on the Wii and you have the perfect Star Fox game.

As a diehard Starfox fan, I hope this is true...this and Pikmin are the only two major franchises left of theirs that I am dieing to get ahold of on the Wii.

starfox 64 was an awesome game, i dont see why they wouldnt make a wii version.

I hope it's true. I LOVE Star Fox 64. I can play it anytime. I would stop having sex to play it.

I think the RTS parts could go. They work on a handheld but I want more action on a console. They should definitely keep the big cast and unique ships for them.

I would love to see another Star Fox game. And it would be good reason for me to actually buy another Wii game as I haven't done so in months. Of course I'll be picking up Super Mario Bros. Wii here soon though.

Star Fox on the SNES was fun, even though I could never beat the game on hard as it was really tough and of course I was probably 7 at the time, which may not have helped.

Star Fox 64 was probably my favorite game on the 64. Everything about it was great and I probably beat it at least 30 times.

The Star Fox Adventures (or whatever the game was called where McCloud was running around with the dinosaurs) on Game Cube was actually pretty fun even though I would have rather had more space battles. I really felt like that game was built around something else and they just threw starfox in there to sell titles. It didn't really fit in with the other titles, but was a good game on its own.

Star Fox Assault on Game Cube sucked though. Or at least it was a step in the wrong direction. I really hated getting out of the cockpit and having to run around. That game just didn't have that Star Fox feel to me.

So I hope they make Star Fox on the Wii, but I really hope they keep any out of cockpit scenarios to a minimum. I hope the space battles are more fluid like that of Star Fox 64. I really can't wait to hear more news about this new game.

Star Fox: Assault was a mixed bag. The parts where you fly were excellent, but the parts where you didn't were just horrid.

The best part of Assault was the new theme Star Wolf got

Haha. That's exactly what happened. It was originally suposed to be a game for Nintendo 64 called Dinosaur Planet and I was really looking forward to it. :cmad:

But I enjoyed Star Fox Adventures for what it was. I miss the old school Star Fox games though. It's a shame we haven't had one in that style since 1997, so I hope this rumor is true.

I've been waiting for a true sequel to StarFox 64 for a long time and I think if done right, it could be an amazing game when utilizing Wii Motion Plus.

It's stuff like this that makes me really mad with Nintendo. Like, what the hell are they waiting for? They have all of these games they could easily be making, but they choose not to.

They need another DK platformer, too. And it needs to be the kickass DK. The one that was beating the **** out of the Koopas and Goombas in that Brawl video. Not the buffoon.

Yeah, and if they aren't interested in doing it themselves then I'm sure there are many many many other studios out there that would jump at the chance to work on a classic Nintendo title. Like Retro Studios and Team Ninja with Metroid for example.

Personally, I would love to see Factor 5 make a Star Fox game.

It has to be almost exactly like Starfox 64. I don't want to walk around. I don't want to play an RTS.
But, I am really looking forward to this.

They went kaput.
