As you've seen from set photos and in BVS, Steve Trevor is a WW1 era pilot/soldier in this continuity. As of now Steve looks like he'll fall into a Peggy Carter/Captain America scenario of a love interest doomed to age as Wonder Woman lives on. However in the Wonder Woman TV show the same actor who played the classic World War 2 Steve Trevor would later play Steve Trevor Jr. And in the New 52 Steve Trevor was reimagined as the liaison to the JL as an ARGUS agent under Waller.

So do you want to see Steve Trevor return in future DCEU movies either through magic/science mumbo jumbo. Or will the Steve Trevor have a descendent who bears his name and likeness that Diana meets down the road.

Or should Steve Trevor remain a someone in Diana's past like Peggy Carter, and only return in future movies in flashback.

Personally really dig Chris Pine as an actor, and really like his charm in the Star Trek movies. We got a while to wait to see just how good his Steve is, but just based on the actor I'd like to see more of him.

And if where talking love-interest I put a firm no to Superman/Wonder Woman, or Batman/Wonder Woman. If Steve doesn't return I'd rather Wonder Woman remain independent than end up with either of those two.

I would love to have Steve Trevor in the present, but I'm fearing it won't happen.

How they can do it?

well, they can make him immortal for something he did in the past for Wonder Woman, the Amazons, ect..
Or a relative scenario.

Steve Trevor (especially the New 52 version) has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. ARGUS, JL contact with the government not to mention that this WW is a relic dealer so that would make sense as in the new comics he and Diana collected magic artifacts to prevent to fall in wrong hands. He custodies that especial room in the comics as seen in the Forever Evil saga.

Hope the DCEU braintrust take notes of that or at least hope they do him justice in the movie.

But if I remember correctly Pine has a multicontract so why having him for more movies if he will be flashback or something like that. Many actors have those contracts but why having that one if you know he won't have a major role beyond the first Wonder Woman movie.

Hmmmmm. I'm not a fan of Chris Pine, so that will probably colour my response. I'm happy for Steve Trevor to be a "one and done" appearance given that TPTB decided to tell Diana's origin story in WW1 and have Steve Trevor as a soldier during WW1.

I don't necessarily think that Steve Trevor is so critical to Diana's character and ongoing storyline that they'll need to come up with some mystical, godly or other "excuse" to keep Steve Trevor young. And I don't see TPTB casting Chris Pine as Steve Trevor and has his coincidentally identical grandson / great grandson.

Although Steve Trevor fills an interesting role in the New52 version of ARGUS, realistically I don't think we'd ever see Steve Trevor fill a similar role in the DC cinematic universe. Given how TPTB decided to utilise Jimmy Olsen, it seems even less likely to me.

I think a similar character could still work for Diana, for example, Trevor Barnes. Or Diana could be involved with Kate Kane or Renee Montoya. Or, given that Wonder Woman will be sharing screen time with many other Justice Leaguers, perhaps they won't focus on her love story or interests and will instead decide to showcase Diana's role in the Justice League as a leader, warrior, peace maker, etc. Not to mention her potential role outside of the Justice League as Ambassador of Themyscira or a humanitarian / philanthropic role.

How would I know until I see the movie?

Probably one and done. I can see him showing up in flashbacks in future films, and showing up in this universe as someone other than THE Steve Trevor.

I want Steve Trevor in modern day too. I don't like him being the grandson...especially if there's romance between Diana and Steve during WW1. That's just icky.

I'd say use the magic of Paradise Island. Maybe Trevor suffers lethal injuries in WW1...and the amazons put him in suspended animation while he slowly heals. Just keep him in the DCEU.

I would like to see Trevor in the present. Have his immortality or presence in the modern age explained with an ambiguous nod to ARGUS' dark room.

I like Chris Pine, but I don't see the point.

Wow that would work too.

But that would require some sort of magic...ray. Possibly a purple one. And the Justice League has never had anything like that.

Immortality, Greek gods, MAGIC, like real magic that this DCEU has?

What's hilarious is I almost mentioned the purple healing ray. :word:

I like Pine but the WWI setting feels one and done to me.

Pine is likely to be in WW sequel and maybe one of the JL films. Whatever form he's going to take in both WW I and modern day setting, he'll likely be present in both.

I'd prefer something along the lines of magic/science suspended animation/time travel/enhanced life span than a descendent who bears a striking resemblance to Steve Trevor. I know the original series did that, but I think it would look strange to see Chris Pine playing a similar character to Steve in a WW sequel. Even if they do something like give new Steve a different haircut and different personality. And like someone else said, if WW starts something with Steve's great great grand kid it would feel weird.

Based off where her character ends up in BvS ...

I'm guessing that Steve Trevor will die in the WW film and this will be one of the contributing factors for Diana to turn her back on humanity.

How about a descendant of Steve Trevor called as Steve Trevor Jr, played by Chris Pine again ?

:oldrazz:

To me, a Peggy Carter reunitement would be a nice way of sending him off-but I'm fine as it is. PS. Try not to put spoilers on forum titles, just for those looking for the non-spoiler forums.

Nope. Or rather, temporary appearances via flashbacks, dream sequences, mystical whatevers. Just not returned as a living active character.

The only way Steve can be part of the sequel is
if he is seen in the afterlife/underworld!
