In the category of reading too much into things I’d like to offer up this juicy piece of speculation. On Monday April 17th‘s episode of VGM Daily (a show I host) we do an interview with the producer of the X-Men official game. The interview was over 20 minutes long and most of it is really only interesting if you’re into the game.

However here’s a piece of info that many of you might like to speculate on. In the interview we specifically ask him about the movie affecting his game, and he point blank stated that the movie has undergone many script changes.

Here comes the fun speculation part: the kinds of script changes that would be done that got the attention of those working on a video game would not be the kind where line 138 on page 2 was changed. They’d be big and important.

Just a little fuel to throw on the ‘big changes were made to the script’ fire. For those who think I'm talking out my arse, my show will be availabe as a download-able audio podcast on Monday, and you're more then welcome to listen to the interview yourselves and come to your own conclusions :)

Sounds interesting.

I've always been a supporter of the AICN script not being accurate to the final product line of thinking anyways.

But yea, coolness.

Cool!!...I`ll check it out Monday

Wow... hope the interview comes out soon. cant wait...

Rattner himself mentioned several major script changes, I already planned on taking his word for it. I just don't think they would kill of two major characters, it always seemed ridicilous.

In a war?

Doesn't seem that ridiculous to me that two people could die in a brewing war.

It's pretty much widely known that the script isn't the same as it was for the AICN draft. Things will have changed. The basic premise of the draft remains however.

Well, yes, but they have to balance the deaths against the demand for further movies.

Deaths have to be meaningful... And if they are considering an X4 and several spin-offs, and if they are aware of the fanbase and making big noises about following the comicbook material, they need to tread carefully.

well Ratner said that one of the biggest changes wha the whole entire final act....am I wrong? so the BULK of the changes I bet lye there..... Unless it was an on the run change? but it doesnt matter.....

one thing im hoping they changed AT LEAST is the demoleculerazaatironawerfnmmnn of cyclops......kill him....but dont dissinigrate him in the process, lol.

unrealistic :down

i never read the orignal script...what happened in it?

Cyclops:o *cries*

hmmm??? dont get it lol. i think it was posted, but i decided against reading it, coz ppl said it was fake or something

Cool, but I already knew that it wasn't the final script. In the Premiere article they said that they changed the third act from Washinngton DC to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

Line 138 of page 2  What is that?

Its simple dialogue changes. He/she was saying it isnt just changes like dialogue that its big changes.

No, I think she means how can line 138 be on page 2. Impossible for a script to have such a condensed amount of dialogue.

Unless he's taking sentence line by line then the usage of that metaphor/acronym is incorrect.

He means lines as in the number of lines (horizontal rows) on a page, not lines of dialogue.

Technically, some deaths would be starting before the war starts. Such as Cyclops.

Yup , that would have nothing to do with the war.

(especially if he was going to die in an accident ;) )

Sure , we know already that the bridge scene is now basically the third act for example, but it confirme that things that are in the game are in the movie .I wonder if the guy is refering to Iceman icing up for example (we don't know if that was the case in the Aicn pre Ratner? ) or for other things..;)(who said sentinels? lol worthy?! :D)

thanks !:)

Thanks, I'll check it out.

It's a conflict, not a war...

And there are many occurances in the comics when the X-Men fought in these "wars" and nobody died. Nobody complained about the "ridiculousness" of nobody dying in war then. So why now?

I never got a chance to see the leak script. I havent really been here but I'm assuming it was ok?
