Strike Back, or Badassery On Tap

Yeah, all the other action shows on TV are just way too sanitized. Here we finally get an action adventure show with decent production values that can actually have some blood, guts, bad language, and nudity. I wish more shows had this.

Usually I find cable dramas a little too self-involved and over the top melodramatic. Strike Back has more of what I like generally though it does get a little silly and WTF at times.

Season 2 TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! Badassery On Tap Indeed!!

So no one on SHH watches this show? People didn't see this season's premiere?

Great action tv.

Okay.... just finished watching the show from start to latest episode...

First off, I miss the John Porter character.... (nearly pissed myself at the Tom & Jerry gag late on in the first season).

Seasons 2 and three... i like the bigger scope of the show (some of the locations are bloody sweet btw)... and i think they do well in finding good looking ladies to get their kit off... though why do they all seem to get ****ed... then die?

the two main leads are a fun duo... the wise cracks are usually good.

I can't believe they killed sinclair!!!!!

..... what the **** was that for???

Seriously.... why kill sinclair???? Bar pissing off the team, his death made no point.... and it's a damn shame if the only reason they did it was to make it personal....

Interesting that they left the episode with the duo in different places. Guessing the biker is set to make sure the guy is dead in the hospital, and who's got Stonebridge at shotgun-point?

Roll on next week

I hate seeing the character go, [BLACKOUT]but it was good that it wasn't expected. Too many shows like to advertise a character dying on a particular show, and usually, it isn't anyone you'd give a rat's ass about anyway! The killing of a major character should never be something used to get people to watch the show. It should be unexpected, and in the case of Strike Back, I agree with the rationale of the actor who played Sinclair; no one's safe on a show like this. These characters can't always get out of dangerous situations.[/BLACKOUT]

I did think something was up when
he was out in the field.... as i don't remember seeing him go out into the field at all before, so i was surprised when he lived...

I liked that they had Baxter kill the ****er that set them up... and i can see Charles Dance being killed by the Mitre's (sp?) character in a similar manner that the irish guy last season was taken out

Well then....
The shooter chick.... that was a bit of a random headshot death for her...was not expecting that.

So is Knox working with CIA backing or is the psycho ***** gone rogue?

The assault on the decoy base was fun to watch

I was a little let down by the season finale. I thought Knox's closing scene was a bit anti-climatic.

A few episodes back, disappointed about Sinclair. Not as much about him leaving the show (though hopefully that doesn't suck for the actor) but the way the character went out. I wish he had given that racist mercenary more of fight.

I liked Knox's closing scene.... rather fitting for his character with where it happened.

I was honestly surprised Scott didn't f*** anyone for like the latter four episodes of the season!!! I figured him and the CIA chick would have gone for another round!

So Scott was a contract killer for the CIA. That's a was a pretty heavy story development. I felt bad for him when he was talking about his last assignment for them. (I know, I should probably feel worse for the little kid he blew up, but that fact that he didn't know. . . )

So, is the major gonna be leading Section 20 next season, or is she the head that had to roll for the whole fiasco, to save the rest of the section? Man, when Knox shot her, for a second I was like, "Please don't let this be a trend of killing off the leader of Section 20 at the end of every season!!!" Happy to see she survived.

I thought the same thing KenK...

i did like the running gag of the countdown thing.

I had a feeling Mitra would be safe, though I was surprised that she got shot. I wasn't expecting that. So for a few seconds it did have me wondering if they really were going to kill her off after featuring her so prominently. She's the biggest name they have so it seemed like it would be a waste for them to off her so soon.

To the show's credit I'm surprised that it took them so long to kill off Sinclair after Mitra's character came on the scene. I thought they were going to remove him earlier.

I was also surprised that Scott also didn't have sex in like the last four episodes. I thought he was going to mess around with the assassinated leader's daughter for sure. Or at least get a quickie in with that rogue agent.

I can't believe the second season is over already. I really like this show. The second season was better, and bigger then the first season, so I can't wait to see what they have planned for the third seaon.

Still can't believe Sinclair got killed off. He was a good character. I'm glad Mitra didn't die though. She's a good character too, and she plays off of Scott, and Stonebridge good. Plus I think she looks really good, along with that other woman from their unit that was in the field more this season.

Another great seaon for Strikeback. Now bring on season three!

Check out the other production videos as well. Looks like a fun set.:woot:

They call Robson Greens character the boss in this video, does that mean that Rhona Mitra is out? Also I hope they don't stay in Africa for the entire series again like in series 3...

Season 3/Season 4 starts today!

Cinemax will show the original with Richard Armitage and Andrew Lincoln starting October 25.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDD . . . . . . . . [BLACKOUT]Dalton's out! I was just watching the episode and I was like, "SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!" And it's always a headshot when they're down on their knees or something! I love how everyone gets a quick death from a headshot, but that Mossad chick got shot in JUST THE RIGHT PLACE to where she's still alive long enough to go blind, wash her hands and all that sh**!!

But DAMN! I liked Dalton! It was a great role for Rhona Mitra, who I've always liked.[/BLACKOUT]

And see, Englishman? We're gonna get to see the true first Season of Strike Back now! :woot:

They can't exactly call it Strike Back Season 1 can they?

Surprised they killed Dalton... Then again I'm not, she was kinda loco, not many places left for her to go really.

Dougray Scott was a bit of a waste in the character IMHO. Felt like he was going to be a season long baddie...

Also, WTF? Martin Clunes?
