Personally, Bana and Connelly are higher in both looks and talent than anyone else listed by miles. They could've done wonders for that franchise and it sucks that it's moving on without them.

Bana and Connelly were definitely terrific... great performances, both individually and together.

But overall I've got to go with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in the Spider-Man movies... those movies depend on the chemisty between those two to be successful, and thank god for the fact that it really, really works.

This was supposed to be a poll but it froze up before I could get them down.

The choices were
-Bana and Connelly
-Maguire and Dunst
-Bale and Holmes
-Gruffudd and Alba
-Affleck and Garner
-Routh and Bosworth

And as I said, I think Bana and Connelly are miles above the competition.

What about Hugo Weaving & Natalie Portman for V For Vendetta? There relationship wasn't exactly about love & romance but they did work well together.

Ron Perlman and Selma Blair should be mentioned.

edit-^ computer burp, didn't see your post there.

there's more than just those.
How about Hellboy and Liz?
Dwight and Shellie?

^ Elitist. :o

You might be able to get a mod to edit in that poll.

Clooney and Macpherson >>>>>>>>>>> All!!

What!? Bana and Connelly won't be in the sequel? That sucks if its true.

The strongest comic book movie couple in my mind has to be Tobey and Dunst.

T'is the same for me as well. Even though it seems like many fans don't like the casting, there is some really good chemistry between the Tobey and Dunst that just, well...clicks.

Although I'd also mention the Keaton-Pfeiffer pairing as being a different, but equally strong couple.
