Okay, so I see that if you subscribe to Marvel for 12 issues, it is a little over 23 vucks. My question is, what's included? Is it 12 back issues, or 12 current issues starting with next month? Also, 23 bucks seems kind of cheap, when the cover price is about 36 bucks. So does anyone know if this is reliable or not? The reason I am asking is because I'm not sure if I should subscribe or not.

Its 12 issues starting from the month you take out the Subscription. If you take out the subscription now, you'll get the next 12 months issues as they come out.

Personally I wouldn't bother, its not that flexible. You'd be better arranging a subscription with your local comic book store.

yeah your local comicbook store would be better, more flexible, and usually once you get to know them they'll give you some good deals on prices etc.

yeah, definitely your LCS

problem with mail subscriptions is the books can get mangled, and if you start to dislike the title, you can't stop it.

go to a local store and you can pick up or drop anything and everything as they appeal to you

If you're trying to save some $$$, then don't be put off subscriptions. You can get some great deals that way. I only got one comic that was "out of shape". The other 143 were in great condition. I don't know how they stack up against comics that are actually graded, hermetically sealed in plastic, and have german shepards patrolling the perimeter of your long boxes, but I never got one ripped/bent/wet.

If you know you're going to be getting the next 12 issues of something, and you don't need them 100% perfect, take a chance. It worked out pretty well for me. In fact, about 40-50% of them came to me before they were in the shops, once almost a week early  (maybe about 5-10% after, the rest on the same day)

I should note that I put a "large" mailbox on my house, and left a nice note for my mailman, so he wouldn't fold it inside of it.
