Yeah your right, so how about that Magneto film.
A Kingpin film would be great for Marvel Studios since he's a character who has come into conflict with more than one 'hero' in the comics - namely Daredevil and Spiderman. And with plans for successive reboots on the latter two, Kingpin will really fit the bill (pun not intended). I got it...
It has to be a villain everyone knows...
They can go from good to evil and back again...
Let's make it a female to add sex appeal so guys will probably see it regardless.
The batman universe has always been successful...
CATWOMAN!!!
on a more serious note, I could see a lot of villains working, done much like Star Wars Revenge of the Sith with the whole premise of them going bad, and teaching us to hate them for it. Could make for some epic story telling, just needs to be done with the right villain, my suggestion would be for DC - the android thing from JLU that could copy peoples powers.
and Marvel - Magneto.
I'd say a Vandal Savage movie could work.

A proper Deathstroke film would kick copious boo-tay, but a lot of the potential shine is going to come off of that if a decent Deadpool movie gets made.
I hate that, by the way. Alien planets with floating mountains where cat-smurfs live with their USB port ponytails and chemical mixtures that can allow groups of people to go into someone's subconscious mind in multiple levels aren't too outlandish, but a genius supercriminal in a gorilla body is just too ridiculous.![]()

What about Morbius? Kind of a tortured soul. Misunderstood & shunned by society. Could be interesting if done right.
Rise and Fall of ZOD.
Set against a (quote David Goyer) "Big Kryptonian mythology" with Jor-El? Might work - end with his banishment into the Phantom Zone, and a vague mention of The Last Son! Makes for a much better Graphic Novel in my opinion. SMALLVILLE went to an exhaustive extent with their ZOD saga. Still, would make an interesting premise.
On a much similar note; http://www.cracked.com/article_18733_6-movies-that-didnt-realize-they-let-villain-win.html
For...well... the fact that villains do get away with their villainy, even in moralist Hollywood!
I don't think Goyer ever said that. In fact, I don't think he has been quoted about the new Superman movie at all. That quote came from one of Latino Review's inside sources.
