ok i see that metropolis is looking similar to the new movie versions' own, and also the costume change with the raised \S/, and also they were married in the comics around the same time lois and clark on TV got married.....now what im getting at is that bryan Singer introduced a child dilema to the lois and superman romance, now if it is supermans child do you think they will bring it into the comics, because i see the perfect opportunity......superman only now got back his powers, so for the weeks or month before regaining them he could of gott'n lois pregnant being powerless and all, and maybe his sperm cooled down to...lol...
so you think the're going to do something like this?

and i dont see the kid being richards they wont mess with the continuity that much, lois and superman are meant for each other. and be happy, the kid is either adopted or supes.

Well they can't bring a kid into the comics until after the movie comes out but they have been hinting at the idea.

because then it will give away the big Spoiler to the movie in a matter of speaking. So I think they would hold off on something like that till after July.

But if it doesn't have anything to do with the movie's child scenario, what would it matter? Plus, who really reads comics?

Actually, the marriage between Lois and Clark was supposed to happen before the TV show was even approved, but after the show was on-air DC made the decision to push the marriage back to coincide with their marriage on the show. The Superman editors and writers needed to buy time until they could marry them, so what did they do?

Why, they killed Superman of course.

how old is superman in the current comics?

I'm still pretty upset that Jonathan Kent is dead in both Smallville and Superman Returns. They should've kept him alive like he is post-crisis.

hes the only good actor in smallville, now its a big ball of cheese and corn :(

I dont mind him dead in Returns... it helps move the plot forward about Martha having moved on in Clark's absense (possibly remarrying) and possibly selling the Kent farm, moving to Motana.

It help sells the fact that no one is dependant on Superman anymore and he doesnt fit with any group or familial unit anymore... Hes in a world thats moved on without Superman.

i've been thinking that they might have a child for awhile now, and the OYL gap would be the perfect time for it.

how old is he in the comics? and also batmans age... please?

THey are both perpetually in their late '30s. Superman is around 38 or 39, Batman is 36-37.

Nope Batmans actually older if I remember my postcrisis history.... Batman/Bruce may be close to his early 40s even.

Clark is late 30s for sure.

"I think you are all going to have to get used to this. THe costume has already started to gradually change as of the latest issuie of Superman #652 they've already started using the higher collar and raised sheild.
Things are changing. By the time Kubert starts his Action Comics in October run the suit will be more like the SR suit.He 's already as much as said it in his Wizard interview."

He posts on SHH so he usually tells us some stuff about what the studio is doing with certain characters...at least from an asthetics point of view (artwork)....the Superman suit is going to change.

That's pretty stupid. The raised "S" symbol is fine, but if they start shrinking it and putting another "S" on the belt it'll look lame, just like it does in the movie.

Dont bag on it till you see it. I cant wait for the October Action Comics.

No he's right. Not only is it redundant, its really stupid looking too. And no one wants to see Superman in speedos.

Very nice art there. I don't think that it'll be an exact representation of the SR, but it'll look very similar to it when all is said and done. They may or may not have the \S/ belt buckle (although I hope they leave that out...if they really need to put that in, I hope it's just a pentagon shape and not the actual logo) and so far we have no idea what the boots will look like. As for the chest shield, I think it'll differ depending on the artist. Adam Kubert draws it a bit smaller than Pete Woods but both are embossed.

I know that it's not something being copied from SR, but why are Superman's sleeves elongated over his wrists and onto his hands like that?
