He was different than the other Superman voices we've heard, but he was really good. It worked. Same with Luthor. I loved Clancy Brown's Luthor, but this one grows on you too.
How did Adam Baldwin differ from the likes of Tim Daly and George Newbern? There was a review of SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY in the Misc. Superman forum and the one critical response to Baldwin's performance was not encouraging. :csad:

How can I say "older" without making it sound bad? Adam Baldwin's Superman was very bold and crisper than the others. Hard to explain, but he did a good job. He gives two lines in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSaxFBegpO0

So far that's one supporting Baldwin's Superman and two not supporting Baldwin's Superman.

Off the record, Adam Baldwin is two years older than George Newbern but 6 years younger than Tim Daly.

Meh, he sounds perfectly fine to me.

I hope this isn't a stupid question but do any of the "supermen" appear in the movie? Steel, Superboy, etc?

Another Superman appears, but he is just a clone, not from the comics story. It is treated well though. They couldn't fit all the other Super-men in because of time constraints.

Damn, no Cyborg or Eradicator!:csad: That's too bad.
